Jesse Moore
Greetings, I noticed that you requested a photo of Jesse Moore's grave. This is not possible. His cemetery washed away in 1916. Please feel free to google flood 1916 North Carolina. At a family reunion of the Moore's several years back a surveyor had taken the old land records and plotted where his land lay. His cemetery was in the flood zone. His son Daniel had a different burying ground and was safe. While searching for his cemetery I spoke to an older Lady in the Globe valley back in the 1990's. She told me growing up she and her siblings played with bones that had washed into nearby fields (instead of sticks).

John Carty in Benicia
Hi Kathy,

I saw you also requested a photo of John Carty's grave...what do you know about him? There was a grave next to Cassius, but no marker? I'll check to see if the cemetery records show where John is buried.

The other Carty's (Miles) have another plot listed, in the very old part of cemetery. However, I searched that Row and there are no markers left, if they ever existed? It's on a steeper side of the hill, so could have washed out years ago.

Prairie wind & her old salt/usnr

I meant to ask you, I had a great uncle by the name of Charles Adair, I know his mother's maiden name was Strickland, might he be related to your Adair's? let me know as I have no other info on him and would like to fill in the gaps. He was married to my Aunt Neva (Price) they were from Ohio. I have heard that he was related to "Red" Adair, but not 100% sure of that. I believe he has/had 2 son's who lived in Southern Calif., but again I am not sure.
