Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research since 2003. My profile picture is my grandfather Charles Rieve and his father Charles Rieve. I enjoy going through old cemeteries and newer ones. I have been mainly researching Bennington County, Vermont but do research other areas also. I have some kind of relation to many memorials that I have submitted.
If you want a memorial transferred to you please use FAG guidelines and the edit link on the far top right of the memorial, that is the only way I will do transfers, direct emails and messages will not be done. INCLUDE YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND YOUR MEMBER NUMBER. Just saying family is not sufficient - many of the memorials I have done are in my "family" also, I need a specific relationship or the transfer will not be done. If you have corrections please use the edit link on the far right of the memorial, with the new edit system, you can't tell me the source of your information. I will be verifying the information you send - I do not use ages on headstones to calculate birth dates, they can and have been incorrect on many occasions. If I can't find a valid record to verify your birthdate edits they will not be done. I verify all corrections before doing them. If you use my pictures on your family tree on Ancestry.oom or another service please state where you got the picture.
I am extensively researching the Hitchcock and Rudd families from Connecticut, Massachusetts & Vermont.

Sarah Jane Mann
I have requested a photo of the grave marker for Sarah Jane Mann (Find A Grave Memorial# 67944950). Today I received a message from MEdwords (#46574762) saying Sarah Jane Mann is not buried in West Dover Village Cemetery, West Dover, VT. Since you are the creator of the memorial for Sarah Jane Mann, I hope you can verify her burial in that cemetery. Thank you for all you do to help so many people.

Thank you for the work that you do! I too am very interested in genealogy and much of my family is from Vermont. I recently found a new hint with Agnes Pearl Woods Estelle and it was that you had added her here.

Ada Dorothy Beeman Haynes
Hello Nancy, My name is Christine Davis and my Mom was Betty Harriet Haynes, daughter of Ralph R. and Ada Dorothy Haynes, whom I believe was your grandmother as well as mine. Betty fell out of touch with her sister, Dorothy Ada Haynes, who we are guessing may have been your mother. I am hoping to touch base with you and obtain some information on her and, if you are interested, provide some on your Aunt, who passed away on July 1 of this year. This is my first use of correspondence on this site, aside from an entry on my father so I am not sure how to go about exchanging phone numbers, email addresses, etc. to one another. I will be out of the area until Saturday. Hope to hear from you and thank you for the information you have made available on Ada and other family members on this site.

Fred DeBell
DeBell Graves Park Lawn
Hello Nancy, I read your information and wondered, based upon your info, if you are related to the DeBells. My inquiry is simple as I am Frederick Jay DeBell, III and my grandparents as well as numerous great aunts and uncles are buried in Park Lawn, Bennington.

Thank you

Permission Request

I am writing as the Editor of "The Mattesonian", which is the quarterly newsletter of The Matteson Historical Congress of America. I would like your permission to use your photo of the gravestone of Louisa M. Niles Matteson in our September issue. We will feature an article about two Matteson family bibles, one of which was owned by Louisa.

If you could supply any additional information about Louisa, Gilbert or any other of her family members, especially photos, that would be fantastic.

Thank you very much.

Nancy Jane Pettibone
I don't know if the message I just sent went through. I figured it out and I mixed up Nancy Jane with her paternal aunt, Nancy. Nancy Jane was born in 1828 to Ira, Seth and Deborah's eldest son. Both girls were the last children of their parents. I was not quite awake this morning and for that I apologize. Ira was probably memorializing his youngest sister.
