My parents and grandparents are buried at Pioneer's Rest Cemetery in Ft Worth, TX. I am active in doing some volunteer work there to keep the grounds up. It is amazing how much growth there is to keep under control. There is LOTS more to do than just mowing and edging!|
My Father was born and raised across the street from the cemetery. He told me he and his brothers played in the cemetery as kids. The house still stands and you can easily see it from his grave. That's pretty unusual to say the least.
It is sobering to look at the graves where children only lived a few years, some only a few days, in the 1800's. Sickness/disease? Indian Attacks? Accidents? Maybe all the above led to their early demise. We take a lot for granted in today's world.

It was the photo of the entrance to the cemetery that I was asking specifically about. If you took any photos of Bennett family members, I would want to be able to use those, as well.
Thanks so much!

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery photo on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Yes a relation, I ask because they also lived right across the street and are buried in that cemetery. I thought it was a strange thing too and saw that you were raised there as well so I thought there was a connection haha! You wouldn't happen to know if they have a cemetery office or anything would you? Also if you would like to email me my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Are you related to the Taylor's buried in Pioneers Rest?
