Bio Photo Update Christmas 2015.
EVERY HOME should have Carbon Monoxide Detectors. Every Floor. WORKING and do not ignore them.
Call the Fire Department. Wait for them outside. Do not panic because the only thing that is not fixable is YOU NOT WAKING UP. Even if the rest takes days to fix YOU ARE AWAKE.
We had angels watching over us on Christmas Eve.
The BEST GIFT EVER.
CARBON MONOXICIDE DETECTORS and they will be on every list I have next year IF They do not receive them by New Years Day.
Higher then 70 is considered danger level.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

.I use Familysearch all of the time. Not every detail is accurate but it gives you a jumping off point. I have just been playing around in the Familysearch Family Tree and I have notice that "Stories and Documents" section have familysearch members "Copy/Pasting" from Find A Grave Memorials. A few of them MINE. I like to think I am a story teller though my guys think I am just long winded.
. A LOT of time and energy goes into research and writing the stories on My Memorials. My Family and people who have gotten a hold of me and led me on the trail of their lives so I could tell their story, but they are no relation to me or mine or indirect connection. IF YOU are going to "Copy/Paste" these stories, NOT just mine but Every contributor on this SITE, who puts in the energy and sometimes expense of creating these Memorial pages PLEASE give the Find A Grave MEMORIAL #'s at the very least:::OR SOURCE IT in the Source section.
Please Use the information, that is why I put it out there on Find A Grave, most of it is fully verified, but use at your risk. IF you "Copy/Paste" please give my Memorial # credit so I can smile to my guys, 'some people appreciate my long winded." It is not like we get paid for this research. Please Do not steal our efforts and have it look like yours on Familysearch or Ancestry.

Warning Confusing below.
-I have Seeking Sarah's on my side and Looking for Lucy's on my hubby's. Three DIRECT Generations with Same Names. {the Maiden/Married names do not help because Mom's Married name matches.}
I Cannot tell you the tangle of names on my Dad's.
They all have kids, Everyone has to name a son after Dad. or Grandpa.-----These are with fairly Unique Surnames.
Hubby has only ONE Direct Eliza. BUT Her sister is Elizabeth {I do not get that myself but I did not name them} and they married the same man. They both left him.--- Ours married someone else, who is our connection to her, but when she was widowed, her sister died and she returned to first, {fun researching this also.}
EVERY ONE of these sister's son's had a daughter named after Mom or the Aunt who raised them. {OR Married an Eliza or Elizabeth}

His Name is William "IT HAS TO BE".
Her name is Mary "It has to be."
You need more then a NAME to put a person in Your tree or Mine.
I keep my tree private and personal because of this. While I am Trying to pay forward other peoples kindness to me, I have been untangling babies from marriages 2-3-4 generations away IF they are even family.
In one week I did 2 of them within 3 days..
.
. If you serve your country, in the Military, Police Force, Fire Departments or in the Schools. For what it is worth, you have my gratitude.
...........
. When I fulfill a request, I will get every family member, surounding my original request. If I can catch connecting names, either in the field or in the records, I get those as well. IN family plots I always try to find those within the plot that do not have stones{maybe there was a stone but the GOPHERS got there before me} and forward that info.
THe pic on my bio was a great man who believed in being kind. If someone does something for you you repay them. I have spent my life trying to honor him.
This site those people who have helped me the most: Nancy K, Chantell, Shirleen, Kara and others there is nothing I CAN Do to help them in the way they have helped me. So I try to pay it forward. By finding these burials and everyone in them and trying to track down and link the entire family.
I cannot THANK YOU people enough. So I hope doing for someone I can help, shows how grateful I AM TO YOUR HELP.

History is my Passion. As a child, I wanted to time travel backward. Now there are people I want to meet.

Plat T Pauper Field
The actual burial spots are not same.

I talked with the sexton's office about that particular plat, and they said the names do not correspond to actual grave lots, let alone the markers seen there. They are not same spots, according to their records. The ones that are seen there along the edge are memorials, not necessary the actual grave lots.

It is oldest pauper field in the cemetery as there had been 2 other later ones, further toward back side of the large cemetery.

RE: Monson
That's okay, because I ended up not being the one to get the photo. When I couldn't find a marker, I gave up my claim on the photo request. B.J. Waters took the photo.

RE: Alice Monson photo request.
Wow you sound REALLY busy! I have several projects going, too. Keeps us out of trouble, right?

Alice's location is Acacia Slope, lot 31-E. This section is fairly easy to find graves because the number plugs are clearly visible. I had several requests to fulfill from last weekend that had no headstones. It is kind of a drag. My opinion is that everyone's grave should be marked. When arrangements are made and a plot is purchased, the headstone should be automatically figured into the cost. No option to leave it unmarked. That would solve the problem, at least from this point in time going forward!

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Best regards,

B.J.

Alice Monson photo request.
Hello! Jean reported that she could not find the headstone. Alice's grave appears to be unmarked. I have photographed the location, showing where the grave is with some flowers. Sorry this was not a more positive outcome. It is always disappointing when there is no headstone.

Regards,

B.J.

Southwick Parish
Southwick Parish is an Ecclesiastical Parish in County Durham. It was created (broken off) in 1847 from Monkwearmouth (St. Peter) Ancient Parish.

The records began in 1844. There are denominations in Southwick which are NOT of The Church of England. They include Wesleyan Methodist, Wesleyan Methodist Association, Wesleyan Methodist Reform and Primitive Methodist.

The Parish is named Southwick, Durham.

I got the following from Wiki:

"Parish History -

SOUTHWICK (Holy Trinity), a district parish, in the union of Sunderland; E. division of Chester ward, N. division of the county of Durham. There are places of worship for Primitive Methodists and Wesleyans."

So I don't know if there is a Parish Church graveyard you are looking for or a graveyard at one of the Primitive Churches in the Parish. I sure miss my friend from England who used to find out these things for me - He was a whizzzz at it, but argued with findagrave administrators about the "stupid" way they were naming the Churchyards and they got mad and banned him. He could be a pain to people who thought they knew more than him, but I must admit - he was right and Oh! SO helpful....sad situation.

Bad thing about the church naming conventions in Europe is that you have to know if it is the Church of England - "Holy Trinty, Southwick" or if it is one of the Methodist or Wesleyan denomination graveyards or churchyards!

(I think there is also a Holy Trinity in North Wearside Parish. That is also in the Diocese of Durham, so it is VERY Confusing! You have to get the County right, the Parish right, and the particular church name right.)

Southwick has two Church of England churches that I know of, Holy Trinity (1847) and St. Columbia (1884).

Have you tried the Civil Registration Search for the UK?

Olena Andreason Larson Carlson
Hello! I have a quick question about this memorial (Find A Grave Memorial# 149699708). She is an ancestor of mine. I was wondering where the "Andreason" part of her name came from in your memorial? I've done a good bit of research on her in Norway and Utah and have not found a link to that name, and would love it if you would share your source. I'm always on the hunt for more clues! Thank you in advance! Pam
