I was born and raised in rural Nebraska, on a farm with a family cemetery, but didn't know much about family history, I think that started my interest in both genealogy and cemeteries. Began work on the family tree 30+ years ago, and it is still growing.

Findagrave is a great site, but there is still a lot of work to be done. I'm into photography, so try to put as many marker pictures on Finda as possible. I've added more than 2000 to a local cem.

I keep finding our relatives, many recently added to Findagrave, found one that was added 3 days before I did the search! I will gladly turn over memorials of your relatives, unless they are more closely related to us.

Unfortunately, some individuals seem to be very uncooperative, they will not turn over the maintenance of a memorial OR add information that is provided to them. It appears that they are in a race to start short memorials, with little information, and are looking only at the total number.

A big "Thank You" to all the cooperative people that I've found on this site!

Roy Peters
Dear JimW,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, Roy Peters of Pierce, Nebraska was a member of this unit.

I'm not sure where I'm headed with my project, but I have interest in eventually publishing something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Roy Peters should this eventually come true?

Thank you!

Hello! I was wondering if you could transfer the memorial for Sybil E Yowell (76339525) to me? She is my 3rd great grandmother through my paternal grandmother. Here is a more detailed description of the lineage: Myself-Ronnie Dene Creek Jr- Sybil Alma (Cramer) Creek- Mabel-May Bell (Lewis) Cramer and then Sybil Ellen (Bell) Lewis Yowell. Thanks!

William Wulf
I asked who the William Wulf was, born in 1847 - wasn't thinking Wilhelm, but I assume he's the Wm. who immigrated with Frederick Wulf and family in 1866?

Frederick, Sophia and Minnie Wulf's Immigration
Hi Jim, we've corresponded before. Frederick Wulf was my 3rd great uncle and I thought if anyone would know about their immigration, it would be you or perhaps someone else on Findagrave. I found a report on Ancestry that appears to be them but I'm not 100% sure. It shows a "Friedr", "Sophie" Wulf, both of the correct age with a "Wilhe" Wulf, so I thought that could be Minnie Wilhelmina. The ship was the Lizzy and Ann, departing Hamburg 15 Jun 1886, arriving in NY 6 Aug 1866. That info fits with Minnie's obit on Findagrave. According to Hamburg's departure list, they lived in Neuhaus, Plon, Schleswig-Holstein before emigrating from Germany, so that seems plausible too. Please let me know if you think this info is correct for our Wulf family. There were 2 other Wulfs on the passenger list, Johann, born 1845 & Wm., born 1847. Any clue who they could be? Thank you so much for your beautiful photos and hard work. Nan Talbot
