I have been taking photographs at cemeteries for a long time - of family members - from Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Wisconsin. Ever so gradually I enter them on Find-A-Grave. I am also compiling a genealogy story of the Olsen family that moved from Denmark to southern Nuckolls County, Nebraska, and also entering information for families of the Longbranch Seventh Day Baptist Church, Nebr. and SDB Church, Nortonville, Kans. |
Once at a cemetery, I photograph as many stones as I have time. Here in KS most are not related to me. If you come across one that you want to manage, let me know and it can be changed.
My family lines include: Burdick, Davis, Williams, Greene, Walker, Carpenter, White, Ownbey, Moffitt, London...
My husband's family lines include: Jorgensen, Olsen, Petersen, Riber, Frederiksen, Jeppesen, Iversen, Nielsen, Waggensen, Klitten, Christensen, Christiansen, and the list goes on.

I'd be happy to transfer the headstone photo to the earlier memorial and remove my duplicate. However, it's been a while since I have moved one. Can you please walk me through the process?
|Sharon Surber||Samuel Davis|
Thank you for your permission. It list Samuel Davis as my 4th great uncle. Jacob Davis Jr. first marriage was to Prudence S Maxson whose daughter was Mary (Polly) Ann Davis who is my 3rd great grandmother. Mary married William Riley Van Horn. Their daughter Mariah Louisa Josephine Van Horn married William Anderson Arthur. That is where I come in come into the family... thru the Arthur. They are my 2nd gg parents.
How are you related?

I have made the corrections that I can make. Thank you for the additinal information that will fit into my tree. I am a descendant of Joseph Furrow who is my3gr grandfather on my Dad's side and William Simpkins is also my 3 gr grandfather on my mother's side which makes me my own 5th cousin, but what is new in the SDB community?
I would venture to guess that Mary Catherine Gaynes/Gaines died in Nebraska. No proofs.

I was wondering if I am use your picture of Samuel Davis at added it to my tree. I will give you credit for the picture. Also may I use any other picture of your if I find another one.
Thank you for taking all the pictures you do and placing them of find a grave. It is greatly appreciated by all of us out there looking for information. I too had added a lot of pictures but not of lately. My mother-in-law has lived with us for the last 3 years and she needs someone with her most of the time so I am very limited now.

I plan to return to the grave sight and do some more Ground probing with a deeper spike. As noted the 2 Lutz graves beside his grave where buried and located by spiking the ground. The one (John) was just under the surface and the other (Christina) was around 3" deep. Possibly Michael's is even deeper and I missed it with my 4" spike, I'm going to return with a 10" spike and see what if anything is found. Ronald

You're welcome, Jean, it was my pleasure. BTW, Grace Mott Davis is right next to Erlow, in case that's of interest to you. Take care, Amy

Are you related to the John, Orven and Gilbert Quick? If so I would transfer to you.
|Steve Larson||Ruskin, Nuckolls, Nebraska|
Jean, I am aware of two more relatives at this cemetery. Jens and Cecilia Jensen. I would not doubt there are others. Thenk you for transferring Martin Jensen to me.

This is a memorial for my Great Grandfather. I have begun to work on my family tree. I have some extensive additions to make to this memorial. Would you be willing to transfer to me?
Regardless, thank you for your efforts in establishing a memorial for my Great Grandfather. It is a blessing
