|Let me start by saying that I do VERY MUCH appreciate anyone who has taken their time to enter memorials in this wonderful system. Without your contribution this system would not be as wonderful as it is today. If you are one of the great photographers that waits for the perfect light and gets down on their knees to take that close up shot I applaud you and thank you for your hard work!|
Something I have learned poking around here for a while now. It is pointless to enter thousands and thousands of memorials if you are not going to respond to update requests so the data you have entered is accurate. There is no badge of honor for keying in pages of cemetery books only to ignore correction and linkage requests for the individuals you have entered. If you are going to support this project please respond to the update requests quickly or transfer the memorial to the requestor so that they can make the updates. They obviously have been doing some research for a reason. Please don't be a roadblock here.
I normally post SAC update requests sent to me in 2 weeks. If the memorial has not been updated in that time send me another SAC request please because it is a good indication I probably missed or did not get your first request.
Another thing I have learned is it helps to park your emotions and hot buttons at the door. We are all here to support this project and help it grow and develop. Sometimes it is easy to loose sight of that common goal. If you are easily offended by a simple request or find that you begin to take feedback too personally try to remember this is a community and not just your own playground. For this place to work we all have to work together and that requires some tolerance from everyone involved.
I have been working my family tree for more than 30 years. Lost all my computer data and working to rebuild my files. Family names of PERSONS, BADER, COX, NEIMAN, SUTTON, EMERY, AUMBERIC, GUTTING, RAU, VanWORMER, and others.
Son of the American Revolution.
Photographer, Geocacher, and Waymarker.
Photographers: If you can, take a photo of the grave to the left and the grave to the right of your targeted grave and create a memorial for each if they do not already exist. Your photos are critical for this projects success.
Remember to back up your data! and ALWAYS have FUN!

|MaryK||Photo request for Calvary|
Your relative doesn't appear on the partial index of Calvary. If you could contact the cemetery office and find out the location I would be glad to get your pic!!

|Teresa Pulley||Thomas E Albrant #66552517|
Thomas E Albrant(66552517) is my cousin. I have a copy of his newspaper obit and photo of his headstone. Would it be ok to post that information or should I send it to you? Also could you link Thomas (66552517) to his father Euclid D Albrant (163936486). Or if you would like to transfer account to my care I will be glad to add information.
Thank you for all you do

|Gracie Ann Matisyn||Nelson Bump|
I came across your photo request for Nelson Bumps 1920-1975. I found his obituary in the Bridgeport post and it states that he is buried in Union Cemetery in Stratford not in Lawncroft Cemetery Fairfield as you have placed him. You can change his buriel location and then re request him at Union. Good luck!

Your memorials were made in 2012 and made as "Burial unknowns" and only recently moved into their cemetery after you found someone else had properly made and documented their burial place. This is against Find a grave rules. You are not suppose to make bu's and then wait for someone else to find their burial place and then move your memorials to their cemetery. Thus making the legit memorials duplicates.
Please remove your request to link their daughter to your memorials as she is already linked to her correct parent memorials.

|Safford923||Milford R. Persons|
My name is Cori Persons Safford from Utah. I was working on my Family History and came upon Louis B. Persons in my tree and I think I may be confused :? I have that Louis B. Persons was married to Mabel M. Persons (b. 1892)with Mabel's parents as Smith Persons and Anna Hill. I also show that they were married in 1915. When reading her Find A Grave record I saw a newspaper article that says she had a son "Milfred." (Find A Grave Memorial# 140756628) Yet it also shows that Mabel's brother Milford (Find A Grave Memorial# 27512117) was married to a "Mabel M. Hill Persons." The birth years aren't the same but I'm confused that Milford's sister and his mother had the same name.
I would love to get this straight :) You have done so much research I can tell so I thought that you could enlighten me!
Any information would be helpful. Thank you so much for your time!!
Have a great day,
Cori Persons Safford
|Sherry||Swanner family memorials|
I have been researching the Cox family lines and find Margaret Elizabeth "Lizzy" SWANNER married John Henry Cox and had one child, my husbands grandmother prior to Lizzy's death.
You have a memorial #151902345 /Samuel Swanner up. On this memorial you ask for anyone with info on the family to contact you. I have the family on the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 census. These census clear up some errors on Find A Grave.
I'll be sending an email to the address connected to your find a grave profile.

The Find A Grave section under FAQ, Membership/Signing In, “What is a photo request?” mentions: “Many cemetery offices will only provide that information (exact grave location to photograph a possible marker) to relatives of the deceased and will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave location.”
There’s a reason more than 50 requests have not been realized for Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay, WI. I suggest you contact the office manager, Mary Lemirande, at (920) 432-6077 or email her at email@example.com to learn the exact location of Mary Persons #105782645 and Hiram Persons #105780636, especially which Park (section) and names of individuals buried on each side (N,S,E,W) of your individual. Then, go back to your “Request A Photo” and add those “notes” so a photo volunteer can at least take a photo of the grassy plot if no marker is present. The cemetery does not usually have a record if or when a marker was placed at a grave site. Without the specifics, the only other suggestion I have is to remove your request. Thank you!
