I was born and raised in California. I am now retired and living in Klamath Falls, Oregon. My mother married my "step-father" when I was four years old and he later adopted me. He is the only father I have ever known and out of respect for him I never tried to learn about my birth father. With Dad's dementia in its final stages and my adult children nudging me to find out about our "roots" I began looking into genealogy.
I found out that genealogy can become all consuming if allowed. I love puzzles and this is an extremely challenging one. My husband became interested in genealogy in the 1970's and we both spend a good part of our day at our computers tracking our individual histories. This has naturally led to and interest in Find A Grave. It is nice to have a partner with the same interests and to share your discoveries with or to ask help or advice from as needed. I have discovered numerous previously unknown family members through this experience.
Through Find A Grave we have encountered many wonderful volunteers with similar interests and we greatly appreciate their helpful efforts.

I received a SAC from Patti on March 8, 2015 with Christopher for his middle name.
Patti's Find-A-Grave.com number: #46483538.
You will have to contact her to ask her what the source was for his middle name. She did not share that with me, but I noted it in my NOTES: in his bio, so that everyone would know she contributed that piece of information.
If Patti shares the source with you, would you please share the source with me???
Photo Minnie E. Jennings Phillips Re: The photo that you posted with memorial for Minnie E. Jennings Phillips the wife of Charley Phillips, both buried at Redland Cemetery. I believe this photo is actually of Minnie Lee Phillips Brinkley as a young girl. Her parents were Tobias P. Phillips and Annie Wilson Phillips. My grandmother was a cousin of Minnie's and I have photo of three of the Phillips sisters as older women - Leola Potts, Minnie Brinkley and Evelyn Ruth. I also have seen photos of Minnie Jennings Phillips and see no resemblance in the one posted. Thanks just curious if you had been told otherwise. Thanks Sandy
Picture on same pg w/Minnie E Phillips Do you know Minnie Ella Phillips and did you put a young girl's photograph on the page with Minnie's tombstone? Rhonda Herriman Granddaughter of Minnie E Phillips
RE: Brewer Lineage Hi Jimmie, I'm possibly related to John's wife Elsie Mosher through her mother, Sally Jolly. This is all I can come up with at the moment. I don't have any notes on them. I hope it helps. Karl
