Although I live in Oklahoma, my family history is tied to Missouri and Jasper County therefore I was naturally inclined to further my research into the Jasper County area. The first thing I found was that my 2x GGF, Andrew was married to Prudence Alexander thus making Thomas Alexander (b.1797 SC) also my 3x GGF. Unfortunately, that's as far as I have been able to get with either line, however, it was through this research that I discovered the Alexander Cemetery.|
At first glance the Alexander Cemetery was a treasure trove for me containing 4 of my direct ancestors and at least 19 addition blood related relatives (10 Osborn & 9 Alexander).
Please visit my webpage to see what I have discovered about the Alexander Cemetery.

I grew up on 14th Street and many of the markers have disappeared. In communication with someone who has family buried there and there are actually more like 200 graves there. Many of the markers have disappeared from the time I was living nearby (1957 through 1977. I am trying to convince the families to provide a spreadsheet.

You have images for Emma Drew's Headstone attached to the memorial of Elsie Drew, her infant. Can you please delete them and let me know when you have done so? Thanks!

I'm not related at all. I've been researching those buried at Peace Church Cemetery in Joplin and came across her name, did the research, and went from there. That cemetery is a real mess - no one takes care of it - I have a soft spot for the poor souls buried there in it's condition. I've already added nearly 200 memorials to Find A Grave for Peace Cemetery - using death records, marriage records, etc, etc.... I'm so glad that you my input has been useful to you in your own family research. I wish I had been able to find her exact birth date, but no luck.

|1_cjhelm||A GREAT CONNECTION !|
Because of first learning family names that I had never heard of before on Ancestry.com then searching for family on Find A Grave.com I was able to recognize my family members names. Tonya Henry Reynolds posted a thank you note to you about her great grandparents, Andrew and Martha Hoggatt. I would hve never recognized Tonya's name but that same day I had been researching Martha and her sister's families, so when I saw Tonya's post, I sent a note to Tonya. Wiithin just a few hours she posted back to me, then we connected on Facebook, exchanging phone numbers. She had slready talked to her momma, and they were excited about connecting with me. We have talked on the phone a few times, confirming that we are family. Tonya's momma and plan to get together next week for a visit. We lives in the same city, and we never knew about each other. Any way I want to 'Thank You' for all that you've done and all that you will do.

|Jennifer Woods Voss||RE: Allen & Ann Gibbens|
Hello! Yes, I am a relative as well--I am William & Florence's great grandaughter--their daughter Annabell Gibbons Woods was my grandma. So Anna and Allen Gibbens would be my great great grandparents.
I have been doing a lot of genealogy research and trying to update findagrave.com, etc., as well as add entries and links for people that don't have them. I found that it is extremely helpful when you include the family links on the page on findagrave.com (that is why I suggested it). So if someone else is looking at Florence and Thomas, they can link on to Allen & Anna easily. I also found Florence's parents--they are Napthle and Allie May Belle Fisher and are buried in Union Cemetery in Hoosierville, Indiana. Here is the link on findagrave.com, if you want to include on FLorence's page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Harris&GSfn=Nap&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=17&GScntry=4&GSob=b&GRid=66866266&df=all&
Let me know if you need anything!
Jennifer Woods Voss :)
