My sister Ann Manley Reid Hamlin and I started searching for our ancestors in 1978 before all the automation took place. We enjoyed visiting the court houses and cemeteries where our relatives live. Got back into genealogy in 2012 to document what we found and get new information. We are descendants of Samuel Watson Reid (1831-1902) g-grandfather of the Steele Creek area of Charlotte and Manley's of Carnesville, GA.|

In the gravestone photo you posted for for Charles T Connor at Rehobeth Church in NC, I would appreciate your help with the last word of the inscription. It looks like: "Kind one, thou art gone without a moment's warning. Thy absence makes thy once happy home a _________."
I have posted a story about Lt. Connor at my blog, www.stonemangazette.blogspot.com in honor of Confederate Memorial Day. This detail would help round out the story.

You're very welcome! I actually got lucky and found it in less than a hour! I'm just glad I was able to get it for you!
|Heather B||John Bustle|
I cannot tell you how very grateful I am to have the photo of the headstone for John Bustle. The Bustle family has been a little bit of a roadblock for me in my family search, so I am thrilled to have anything related to them. You are so kind to contribute so much. Thank you!
Thank you so much for these photos. As an active volunteer here myself, I know how much effort goes into fulfilling a photo request. I meant to thank you earlier but I was actually in NC myself working a cemetery in High Point when you took these photos. Thanks again! Larry Eldreth

Barbara, I recently visited the Mulberry Presbyterian Cemetery in Charlotte, NC, and attempted to locate the grave of Mr. Robert Reid. I was unsuccessful. However, I did take photos of all the other Reid family members I could find. I always try to also take group photos of family members who were buried together. Please visit the cemetery to see the pictures I added. I hope some of these are helpful. Larry
