I came across the findagrave website by accident one day while looking up my wife's obituary. I didn't know that it existed and was touched how someone had put in her obituary on the site. So I felt the need to help out other's as I can. |
My wife Tammy Vance Alberthal is buried in the Boerne City Cemetery.
I retired from working in June 2012. Now I spend my time volunteering at several organizations and going to cemeteries to take pictures then update them on Find a Grave. I have completed the entire Boerne City Cemetery and now working on Mission Park North Cemetery in San Antonio.
I'm not a numbers person -- for memorials that I add, I try to find the obituary for the individual and add it to the memorial as well as a picture of the person. I believe everyone has a story and needs to be told to keep their memory alive and for future generations to see.
Don't be afraid to ask for transfers for anybody. I am totally for it and hope others would do the same for me.

|A Girl Who Loves Genealogy||I had to take a few moments to drop you a note!|
I was working on findagrave and ancestry.com helping a family piece together their family tree when your wife's photo appeared to the right of the page I was on.
After clicking on the lovely memorial and your wonderful profile write-up I could not help myself from becoming emotional. I do feel sorrow for your beautiful wife's passing and am quite touched for the work you are now doing on findagrave!
Deep thanks for working on this site! Your work is appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
I had to take a moment to pen you a few words.

Thank You for such a quick response...I just listed Tammy's link, and I have noticed that most of my visitor success comes in over the weekend when everybody is off from work, and so hopefully we'll see a few new friends come your way over the next couple days. Right now in California, we are just drowning out with a storm - I am from Chicago and so I like rain, but this is ridiculous! -, and so I know that some of us are in the house, as well and getting caught up on this site. =) It's nice to meet you and I am sorry for your loss; hope we talk again - Best, RCP and Gannon Blue

I am sorry to bother you, but I was wondering whether you would like your wife's page highlighted for visits for a week or so, through my own page? I highlight names and try to get sponsorships, extra tokens for birthdays and anniversaries, etc., and I really just found Tammy's tribute so lovely, more people should know about her. Let me know whether it is okay, and if not, don't feel bad about saying no - I know that some folks on here like their pages to stay somewhat private, and that's why I ask beforehand. Best, Rhonda and Gannon Blue
