I run a blog documenting the cemeteries I visit. I am also working on a book documenting the lesser known Georgia cemeteries.

I am fascinated by the history, the art, and how we choose to celebrate the lives who have passed. I have a tendency to look for the less documented cemeteries out there. I live in Georgia, but I have family in South Carolina and Tennessee.

If you need something photographed, please make a request and I will see what I can do. However, I will not clean or touch any tombstone outside of maybe moving some twigs. I consider headstones a person's private property and would not want to disturb anything. I am also not a headstone expert, and I know many need special care. It's also against the law to do so.

If you want your own copy of a photo without the watermark, please let me know. If you'd like to use a headstone photo for any reason, please let me know. As long as it isn't for commercial use, I only ask for attribution.

Thank you for taking and posting these headstones. May I use them in my private family tree?

RE: Demetrius Dickerson
I'm very sorry for the confusion! Yes, I mixed up a couple things.

With my Family Tree open in front of me, I can clarify that his name was Demetrius Rogers, son of Martha Ann Jones Rogers Dickenson -- so yes, you can link him to his mother. Haven't found a grave for his father (Thomas S. Rogers), so if you can just correct Demetrius' name (to Demetrius Rogers) and link him to his mother, that would be great!

Yes, Martha's daughter Mary Ann Rogers is also linked to her.

It's sad that Demetrius was only 3 years old. Nice that he rests with his mother.

Thank you so much for correcting this!

Photo Requests
Thank you so much for adding gravestone photos to several of the Chancy family memorials for me! Having the gravestone photos help provide additional details for the people themselves, as well as make the memorials more complete.

I truly appreciate you!
