|Janet Smith||Leonard L. Arrowood, Sr. memorial|
Your memorial for Leonard is the best I have seen on Find a Grave. I am just beginning to go about the task of making sure my relatives and loved ones are memorialized appropriately and yours is what I hope mine can be. I thought you might have insight as to the whereabouts of the grave or remains of his daughter Marybelle Arrowood Preston Wilson. She was my father's first wife --- not my mother. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Janet Smith
|S. F. Evans||Albert J. Frasher|
Albert J. Frasher is not buried in Frasher Cemetery in Fort Gay, West Virginia. You have him listed in the wrong cemetery. He is buried in the A. J. Frasher Cemetery at East Lynn, WV.
|Louella Hall||George Washington Damron|
George was the husband of Isabell Evans and they bother are buried in the Perry Cemetery so I was told but can't find him. I wanted to add a photo.
He was my great grandfather.
Please tell me if he is in your records. He was born in 1857.
|Laura Clay Ballard||sarah sally mcClouds parents|
Hey, Norm! Long time since I asked you something about our ancestors. I found a notation in Grace Vance's Bible (one of them) where she had written in the following about A.F. Gore (albert french gore) and Sally McCloud: 1) She mentioned A.F. Gore's parents which I know of, and, 2) she wrote down Sally McCloud's parents as C. McCloud (who is Callahill McCloud) and his wife's name which I cannot decipher her handwriting but it looks like L. Brewster, I. Brewister (???). My family tree that I have has the wrong wife down for C. McCloud. Can you give me any information on this? I'll be glad to email you the page taken from her Bible if you like. Just send me your email addy. Mine is email@example.com. Thanks a bunch!
|Monna Kay||AJ Frasher|
Hello, My name is Monna Kay and I am the great-granddaughter of AJ Frasher. He is not buried at this cemetery. He is buried at his family cemetery in East Lynn, Lick Creek Road. It is located on a hill above what was the Frasher farm. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. My email is Mkay28@comcast.net. I am also a contributor on Find A Grave.
|Judith Frye Gore Wilson||Nimmie Dalton Workman 68187072|
I sent you some corrections through the correction screen today, and I said something that wasn't quite right. I said I had not found John B Workman or his 1st wife Nimm's grave at Frye Cemetery. Of course I have found John B Workman and his second wife Garnett and posted the stone pic. Virgil their son was buried along side John B and Garnett.
The reason I believe she isn't buried in Frye is the graveyard isn't that old. She died in 1932. I am told by a former Mud Fork neighbor of mine that the first grave dug in that graveyard was Lawrence Garcia, a homeless man who walked the streets of Logan. HK Frye donated the land for his burial, and Honnaker Funeral Home donated the casket and preparation. That was in 1960. I'm working on finding which graveyard in Verdunville she may be and I'll let you know what comes up.
All my best, Judi Wilson
|Pamela Estep||George W. McCoy marriage|
I read on George W. McCoy's memorial page (memorial # 88159568) that you couldn't find a marriage record. I had just found this earlier. I hope it helps. Notice that everyone has him married to Amanda J. Gibbs.. this record shows her name diffent:
Kentucky Marriages, 1851-1900 about George W. McCOY
Name: George W. McCOY
Spouse: Mauda J. Gibbs
Spouse Gender: Female
Marriage Date: 10 Aug 1871
|Mr. Jackson||Hugh Dingess|
I was looking at Find A Grave Memorial# 40294808 for Hugh Dingess. My information shows that he was married to a Farybelle Dingess. One of his daughters is Memorial# 74586685.
Is this correct?
|ILeighty||Adams Cemetery, White Oak|
Norm, as requested, here is a more exact location of the White Oak Adams Cemetery: 37.918856, -82.101904. I have personally visited this cemetery back in July. Oral history told to me is that this was my great-grandmother Ettie Preece-Adams's childhood home. Her parents were Ben Preece and Lula Adams. Lula is buried in this cemetery beside her second husband Columbus Hensley. Lula's parents, Willie Adams and Martha Tomblin-Adams, are buried here as well. It's my belief this cemetery was named for them. Keep up the good work!
