I am a wife and mother of 4 with very little free time. The free time I do have is almost always spent doing my genealogy research. I started my family tree as a high school project, it just grew from there. I started visiting and photographing the cemeteries in my area when I found out that my husband's ancestors were so plentiful here. My husband is my driver when I visit the cemeteries (he says I make him go, but he enjoys it too) . And now my youngest daughters, twins age 16, have started helping as well. My ancestors are mainly from Europe and Canada, but my husband's line will keep me visiting the cemeteries here in Northern New Jersey for years to come !!
I would love to help anyone with ancestors in the area (Bergen & Passaic County, New Jersey) as much as I possibly can...just let me know
Location Hi Mariea, I noticed you uploaded photos of my grandparents headstone in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetary. I'd like to make a trip to plant flowers ect. And haven't been there since I went with My Dad any chance you have a general idea of where they are? As well as my Great Aunt and Uncle?
RE: LeBlanc graves Hi Mariea - thank you for your message - I'm not related to the family & am always delighted to be able to transfer to family. The edits are approved if you send me SACs with your transfer request - I can transfer them to you.
William Romeo Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Totowa NJ On Find A Grave there are 2 listings for William Romeo #19728281 death date 1945 listed 2007. Another gravestone for William Romeo #36305039 death date 1944 listed in 2009. I think they are the same William Romeo. I was wondering if the next time you are at this cemetery could you check if the two stones are near each other? From some military records I think the 1945 date is correct. Thank you for your help Karen in Florida email@example.com
RE: Martha Livingstone No, I haven't tried calling the cemetery. I will try and do that this week. I will probably end up requesting a copy of her death certificate (if I can find out where she died, and a date). I haven't found any death indexes on Ancestry.com for New Jersey. Thank you very much for taking the photo of the gravestone, and for adding the info regarding Martha. I added the info for the link to her son Sidney S Chatterley (my grandfather). Your efforts are greatly appreciated!!! Jeri
Martha Livingstone Hi! I'm descended from Martha Livingstone, and her 1st husband. (I've added her son, Sidney Chatterley, as a link.) Do you know what date she died? I'm in northern California, so I'm having difficulty accessing any records back there in New Jersey. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Susan Lynn Hoffman was the "adopted" child of Wilton Christian Hoffman, F. A. G. Memorial No. 31383754. Wilton was my mother's first cousin, and I am his first cousin once removed.
Susan was the daughter of one of Wilton's wives. Wilton and this woman were subsequently married and he adopted Susan, thereby giving her his surname. With a little research through my personal family genealogical records I can provide you with the name of Susan's birth mother for Susan's memorial. Just let me know. Thank you. Richard A. L. Ziers, a Find A Grave member.
