Bio Photo Fantastic site. In addition to recording gravestones of my family and friends, I am recording gravestones in Athol, MA. Glad to make corrections and add biographies of your relatives, friends. Please put 'Findagrave' in your e-mail heading.
Been seriously doing my genealogy for the last 12 years although I have been interested in genealogy for the last 35 years. Most of my work is with French-Canadians. Families include Simonds, Simonneau, Simard, Berthiaume (aka Barcomb), Gravelin (aka Gravlin), Bernard, Richard, Valiquette, Pepin. I am also researching the Carlson family of Mellosa, Sodermanland, Sweden who settled in MA. Would be glad to share information with others researching same.

RE: Jennie Nelson Bowker
Thanks very much. John Sr. and Lucina lived most of their lives in Petersham and appear to have ended their lives in Athol, so they must be somewhere in the area.

RE: Jennie Nelson Bowker
Hi Sue, Thanks. It has since occurred to me that the flat stones "Father" and "Mother" might also be sub markers for John S. Nelson Jr. and his wife. However, for now I have made new Find A Grave memorials for John S. Nelson Sr. and Lucina Chamberlin indicating that they are buried in this plot, but I welcome information to the contrary should you come across anything in the future.

RE: Jennie Nelson Bowker
Hello Sue, Thank you very much for looking into this! I strongly suspect that Jennie Nelson Bowker is buried there without a stone. Her first husband was Isaac Cohen, but the fate of their marriage and Isaac is unknown. I have not looked into Isaac much because he is not a biological relative. I am actually descended from Jennie's daughter Flora A. Nelson whose father was not Isaac Cohen nor Robert Bowker, but John A. Young, (whom Jenny never married). Either way there do not appear to be any Issac Cohens documented on find a grave in the area, so it seems unlikely that she is buried near him. John S. Nelson on the headstone is indeed Jennie's brother, his wife and their son. I suspect that the 2 flat headstones "Mother and Father" are for John and Jennie's parents, John Shaw Nelson Sr. and and his wife Lucina Nelson (Chamberlin). I have not been able to locate their graves, so this would be a major find! I really appreciate your efforts!

Robert F. Bowker in Ellinwood
Hello,

You manage a memorial for Robert F. Bowker (#118334423) in the Ellinwood Cemetery. He was the second husband of my 2nd great grandmother Jennie Nelson who died in 1905. Her death records suggest that she was also buried in Ellinwood, but I cannot find any evidence for her grave site on Find A Grave. When you photographed Robert Bowker's grave, I was curious if there was any marker nearby that would suggest a wife buried in the vicinity of his plot. I would check this out myself, but I live in Wyoming and don't get back to Massachusetts often. Any help that you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric Cole.

Would you be so kind as to transfer management of this memorial to me? James Kennedy was my great-grant granduncle. Thanks!

Gerald Fitzgerald # 137291215
Just found this reference, too. This is the other half of couple. Gerald and Florence Fitzgerald.

Gerald Edmund Fitzgerald was born 24 August 1881 in Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts, to William Fitzgerald and Abbie Fabiola Connor (both buried in Calvary Cemetery in Winchendon). He married Florence Estella Brooks on 8 November 1909 in Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. They lived at 211 Orange Street in Athol. Gerald was an engineer and machinist at UTD Company. He died on 14 September 1957. Their two sons (see above messages), apparently both unmarried and childless, are also buried in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol, probably nearby (?).

Sorry about that; a cut-and-paste problem. I did not mean to send Thomas' information again. I meant to say that William is also there as subject of Find A Grave Memorial# 86506975.
