Bio and Links
Bio Photo I took up genealogy as a hobby a couple of years ago, and have enjoyed it very much. It combines many of my interests: history, research, organization, puzzle solving - and of course, family.

I've created memorials for my direct lineal ancestors. If you have any information, clues, or insights into any of them, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I thought perhaps you would be interested in discussing Elijah, he was my gg grandfather.
His daughter Lousia was my g grandmother.
Interested in your thoughts.
I have visited the burial several years ago.
I'm located about 30 mins away from it.
Best regards!

William Vantine
William Vantine served in Co. A, 81st Pa. Inf. He enlisted 10-27-61 at Philadelphia. Was 5' 6" tall with Light hair and Gray eyes and a Light complexion. This is from the company descriptive lists book.
I am researching the men of the 81st Pa.
81st PVI

RE: Bull Ancestors
Sounds good Lew. If I get a chance I might stop by 2nd Pres to see if they have a record of Greer. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

RE: Bull Ancestors
Hi Lew, I think I saw that you requested a photo of the Greer stone, but no one ever claimed the request. I spent at least 6 days at 2nd Presbyterian and I can tell you that if it's not listed in my memorials or a picture isn't attached to a memorial, the headstone probably doesn't exist.
I was very thorough when I was there. Of course I did not go into the office to see if they could help direct me to the area where the headstone might me, but if I remember correctly their records of burials are not as good as one would like.

PS. I'm usually at Magnolia about everyday in the AM. I can meet you when you come in and show you where they are buried. Let me know and give me a day or so leeway.

RE: Bull Ancestors
Hi Lew, I'd be glad to answer your questions. There are two Bull markers with multiple listings.
One near the Hunley graves and the others on the other side of the cemetery.
