Thought you may like to know that Lula V. Pates is actually Luellen V. Pemberton, born in Richmond July 6, 1857 and died in Fredericksburg Oct.31, 1939. The birth year matches several census records and the both dates are from her Death Certificate.
Luellen first married James A. Swift, December 1875, in Hanover County, Virginia. She married second Mason C. Pates, Dec. 15, 1924 in Spotsylvania County.

Thank you for your message. If Aaron and Rosannah are in Madison County, I'd be glad to help you. I am a Madison native, although I currently live in Nelson County.

Hello - thank you for your work with Find a Grave. I wanted to explain the edit I submitted to remove Aaron Clore (memorial 116853242) as the father of James William Clore (memorial 9761203). James William was indeed the son of Aaron Clore and Rosannah Crisler, but the Aaron Clore that was linked was not the correct Aaron Clore. James William's father lived 1792-1871 and died in Madison County, Virginia. I am uncertain the exact location of Aaron & Rosannah's graves.

Thanks so much for processing the edits. And thanks for all the volunteer work you do. Peggy

Like yourself, I too have been delayed in responding to your reply due to similar circumstances, as my dad passed in March. Being a farmer, I have just finished with planting season and now turn to my genealogy to fulfill my time.
John Henry Carpenter, 1911-1992, is buried at Robinson River Cemetery, Brightwood, Madison, Virginia.
Of John's marriages were one to my Aunt Sadie. He was also married to Larista and Mary Sue. I have some information on him and these ladies if you are interested in exchanging such.

RE: John Henry Carpenter
I have been delayed in a response to you regarding John Henry Carpenter due to the recent death of my mother on December 4. I may be able to engaged in a sharing of data if you would identify which John Henry Carpenter. If it is the one that is buried at Robinson River (c 1847 - 1920) I have information on him and his ancestors as he was the son of my great great grandmother's sister.
Thank you for responding to me.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mother. I too, lost my Mom on the 1st of December 2007, and there's nothing (that) anyone can say that offers real comfort. It's a long journey, and I wish you the best in that.
Because of the same name and cemetery, it's possible that your J H Carpenter would be the father of the one in my family. Mine was born 1911 and died in 1992 and married a Sadie Bizgia and lived in Cheverly, MD.
I would be pleased to exchange my information with yours. Please email me directly at email@example.com
