 | Daniel McCaw Daniel McCaw Memorial #98625291
I spoke to the owner of the cemetery, David, and they have no listing of Daniel McCaw buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore, CA. I did search the internet for listing at nearby cemeteries and no luck. It does state in two newpaper obits that he was buried in Livermore at a Mosonic Cemetery which Roselawn was once named Mosonic Cemetery. There are some unknown marked graves there along with names listed there but unmarked. He could be buried there but is unlisted and, of course, unmarked.
I also sent this message to Janet, the manager of his memorial page. I think she should post this on this page so others will not request a photo. I have put hours into this. I also sent her some info that you might want to see on his page from two censes, etc. about him and his family.Added by Julie on May 24, 2013 9:22 PM | | | Julie

 | Daniel McCaw I have now claimed your request for the photo of the headstone of Daniel McCaw. As I said in my last message, I don't know where he is buried. I will call Art Monument and see if they have a listing of his burial at Roselawn. I did check some of the cemeteries in the area on line and did not find him yet.

 | Daniel McCaw I received a photo request for Daniel McCaw today but it was claimed before I got to it. My mother is buried there and it is one cemetery that I am interested in. I know that there are some unmarked headstones there. Because of Daniel McCaw's death date I was curious about him and wondered why he had not had a memorial page recreated for him before 2012 by you. I know that one and now two people also myself has photographed most all of the tombstones visible and have made memorials for those people. I wondered why he had not been recorded before now.
I know for a fact that a women took photos of all of the headstones and made memorials for them in 2005. Since then, another women and some I have done are being taken, so there are not many that are not done except the new graves. Since Daniel McCaw died in 1897 I wanted to check and see if I could find out if he was buried there. I found this web site which is a listing of the people buried in Roselawn Cemetery. It is a Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society Index to Roselawn Cemetery Burial Records. Here it is:
http://www.l-ags.org/Roselawn_Burials/RL.burials.index.html
I could not find Daniel McCaw listed as being buried there. You might want to call a verify the burial. Please let me know what you find out.

 | RE: Hepzibah Skinner Rider - Oak Hill Cemetery Andrew,
I would love to add the photo but I have no clue how this works. When I did the first photo, I thought it would show up right away on Find-A-Grave. Is this not suppose to be correct? Can you help me understand how the process works?

 | RE: Hepzibah Skinner Rider - Oak Hill Cemetery Hi Andrew,
I can't believe you got the photo. I expected it to show up on the site. I have never sent one before so I had no idea how it worked. I still do not know. Where did it show up?
You are welcome!

 | RE: George Ryder Head of the Tide Cemetery Let me know if you have any other ideas... I will go to the City Building and request a listing of interments for the cemeteries to make sure the marker is not destroyed, or laying down (way too big to try to pick up!) Regards, Shari | | | | [View all messages...] |
