RE: Sutman suggestion
I am of no relation to the Sutmans. I just like to research and help provide others with as much detail as possible. Thank you though!

RE: Charles Duffield Greeves
She is going to mail me a copy. Hopefully soon. I'm putting together an SAR application for my brother-in-law and needed validation of Charles Greeves as Hannah's son. I know the bible was in the Duffield family, but I will know more when I get it. In the meantime, Thomas W. Duffield, Sr, named Charles as his grandson in his will (ancestry has that!) And I'm reasonably certain that is better proof than a copy of the Bible page. I'll definitely get back to you once I receive it and scan it. (She doesn't do digital so I'm waiting on snail mail)

RE: Charles Duffield Greeves
Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I have found what I need because my husband's aunt has a copy of a page from an old family bible and your data is correct. I knew it was because it wouldn't make sense otherwise, just wanted confirmation. Thank you again!

Charles Duffield Greeves
Can you tell me the source for his parentage? I can't find birth/baptism/death records which confirm Henry Greeves and Hannah Duffield as parents, other than many trees and the find-a-grave page. Thank you!

RE: Marker photo: Adah Lander Wilcockson
This cemetery has evidently gone in and out of care throughout the years. Hopefully there is some type of financial backing in place to preserve what few markers have survived. Thank you for your kind words. D. L.

I noticed you left a flower at the grave of Sidney East, which I manage. What really caught my attention is your name. My cousin's husband has been using Family Tree DNA, which has matched his paternal line to de la Pena families. If you don't mind my discussing dna with you, please contact me at rdapc@olypen.com

RE: Ely Cemetery #3
HI, Janet!

My paternal great-grandmother, Virginia Martin, grew up in Perry. She died in the early 1930s. Her Gallaher and Martin lines were among the first white settlers in the MO territory. She married William Russel, and they moved to Jacksonville, IL, in the 1880s, around the area where various lines of my family, including more Gallahers, have lived for the last 200 or so years. My mother was a Russel, and both the names Martin and Gallaher continued to be used in the family until my generation.

Thanks for the good advice. I will follow up on it. I want to have all my ducks in a row, because we have a lot of territory to cover, and only about a week or so to do it. We are driving from NY, and have stops in TN, KY, MO, and IL, before we need to get up to WI in time for my mom's 90th birthday May 21st.

Regards, Mary
