Just wanted to let you know that back in 1979, I was taking photos of headstones for a high school project and found the old prints. So I scanned them and am adding them to Find-a-Grave. I hope you do not mind my adding an old photo from when it used to stand upright.
Photo by Blair B Carmichael, 1979.

If you could do the following links that I requested on March 20, 2013, I would appreciate it. Thank you - Bill Cheatham
Jo - Would you please link Alice's memorial to the following memorials:
Father - William A. Powell - #83569036
Mother - Mary Carrington Cheatham Powell - #83569120
Alice is a distant Cheatham cousin, hence my interest in her memorial. Thank you - Bill Cheatham (Member #47076759)

Sorry no. George Collier is my mother-in-laws grandfather. I never knew they changed it till I found your Herring family website with the names of John Luther's parents. I don't have a clue. I had spoken to my husbands grandmother who was the Herron, Nellie Mae daughter of George Collier, about her family but never mentioned it.
Also in this area are the Herrin's spelt with an I but I don't think they are kin. Not totally sure. If you happen to find out I would really be interested to know why. Penny
