RE: John Joseph Saunders
Hello Tina,
There is no evidence that John Joseph Saunders is buried in Washington. The head stone was applied for and placed in Arlington because He fought in the 1824 Arkansas War against the Cherokees. He is the Husband of our 3rd Great Aunt. Sarah Penelope Rowe.
I have pictures of John Jr., Mary Ann, Frederick Washington, Nancy Murrow, James Theodore, Sarah Jane,, Susannah Rachel, but not William Henry, or Sarah Elizabeth.
I will link when I can I stop with the above children and with William Henry Saunders (who died in the Battle of Culloden Moor Scotland) 1693-1746 His wife and son were first in the US.
Your Cousin

RE: Bane family of Groveton
I did find a distant relative through Ancestry and mailed the photo off to her today. I have an electronic copy on my computer and also posted here so, if anyone else would be interested it could be made available. I looked through some of the shops other photos, but what she could find at the time didn't have any names. Love doing that and matching current family to old photos.
