I started at a young age with the interest for the dead. This photo was taken in about 1957 at the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico. I am on the left and my cousin Diane Quinn on the right.|
Researching my family history is one of the most important goals in my life. I feel we should all know as much about our ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Sandra Bertram MEIER. Researching has brought lots of people into my life I would never have met otherwise. Let's all keep up the good work.
I have just come across my pictures on Ancestry.com that someone has used as their own. There is no mention of where the picture came from. This is ashame. For all of you that tramp through knee high grass, work in the hot Texas sun, and in the cold north wind, use your own gas and then try to find a tree big enough when nature calls, you know what I am talking about. Please if you want to use my pictures or anyone elses please have the decency to ask before posting and give credit where credit is due.
PLEASE NOTE - VERY IMPORTANT:
"...The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is permitted without the prior consent of the original submitter."
Since I am getting so many requests for transfers I have started using the findagrave guidelines for transfer. You do not need to own an ancestors memorial page to have a great memorial. I update them each day and will add to a memorial. Just use the edit button on the top right hand of the memorial to be edited.
New Editing Function
"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."
You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.
Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.

Hello Janet. Seems your 2014 memorial is a duplicate of my 2011 memorial for my cousin Gini Pitts, so you may want to delete yours, which is easier that getting findagrave to merge them. No offense meant, I'm assuming you didn't realize you created a dupe with all the overlapping links. Rich.
|Toby Comeaux||John Hampden Randolph Jr.|
Why is John Hampden Randolph Jr. 1844-1915 not in the family cemetery and not listed at Find A Grave? Do you know where he is buried?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

Certainly, I'd be glad to. I'll start that right now. I'm sending a replacement for the Bio section and I feel like I should explain that. The current one appears to be from the obit. James Ed's Texas info is there but not his Alabama info. Also, the two daughters were step-daughters and were listed above his natural sons. And I took out the names of the living people per Find A Grave guidelines and their requests. Anyway, you'll see what I mean! Hang on for edit requests! And thanks for replying so quickly. His mother, father, stepfather, sister, and first wife have all died already. Very sad. Judy remarried almost immediately and disappeared so I've lost touch with her. If you have any info about her new name, I'd appreciate it. She was very sweet and extremely devoted to James Ed. Again, thank you.

|Neff Family Historical Society||Michael Nave|
Janet, Thank you for making the very quick additions to his bio. I also put through some edits linking Michael to his parents and some date additions for both he and his wife. We are currently working with one of his great-grandsons. Thank you for your contribution to Find-a-Grave. Your efforts are appreciated.
I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.

I just sent her a message yesterday and I was wondering why she had not responded. She has always been so prompt. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Did you personally know her?
Thank you so much for letting me know.
