I have always enjoyed walking around cemeteries and reading headstones since childhood. I feel that even though they are not walking among us they are still here in spirit and that in some way it may feel good that someone takes the time to stop and read their headstone. I enjoy helping others with their searches and it is very rewarding to be able to find information for those of us looking for someone.Every visit I make to a cemetery I take lots of photo's, so if I have added a family member and you would like me to transfer just ask. I add these memorials so that one day someone looking for them will be able to find them. When I found FindAGrave my hope was to find my little sister's grave in Florida, 34 years had passed since we laid her to rest and moved back to Texas. My wish was fulfilled by New York Historian, and I am forever thankful. He lives in NY and was vacationing in Florida and took my request with him, even knowing there was no marker, he tried and succeeded. When I saw the flowers marking her spot it filled a huge void I carried for 34 years. FindAGrave has become my way of giving back by helping others with same hopes. *Special Thanks to New York Historian. You are an amazing person!* :)My family surnames include:DNA matched surnames; Mouton, Hebert, Breaux, Luquette, Romero from Lafayette, LA and SE Texas areas. Wilkinson, Pryor, Dickinson, Anderson, Fisher, Herriage, Goodman, Cline, Rankin and others I have yet to discover. My husbands family surnames: Chessher, Lancaster, Arnold, Robinson, Tipton, Cooper, Burgin, Dunlop/Dunlap, Barnett, GossI am also seeking information for the surname WISECUP and SHAFFER, located primarily in Georgia, Ohio and possibly Massachusetts.Words of wisdom:**If you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others..**Audrey HepburnPoem: THIS IS A CEMETERYLives are commemorated deaths are recorded -families are reunited memories are made tangible and life is undisguised. This is a cemetery.Communities accord respect, families bestowreverence, historians seek information and our heritage is therebyenriched.Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life not death of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustainingsource of comfort to the living.A cemetery is a history of people a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.Author Unknown|

Hello, thank you for posting the picture of my father's headstone. It is his birthday today, he would have been 85. It was good to go to the site and leave a note for him, because of you generosity. E

I have posted a memorial for Penelope Elizabeth Bailey Lingan on Find A Grave for the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. I have posted the burial plot on her memorial. Her memorial number is: 106612703. When I called the cemetery I was told there is a marker and she is buried on the 'Crew' or 'Krew' family plot. If you are going to be in the area, I would appreciate you taking a photo of her grave.

There is some incorrect information on Daisey Grant Bailey's Find a grave memorial.
Her mother's name was Caroline Hartwig Grant. (Caroline also married twice more after Mr. Grant died--Smith and Johnson were her last names after Mr. Grant.)
It is correct that Jessie James Bailey was her husband and Edw. Allyn Bailey was her son, but she also had other children.
Here are the children's names in order:
Walter Hartwig Bailey
Edward Allyn Bailey
Karl Howard Bailey
Merrill Birney Bailey
Jesse James Bailey (died in infancy)
Helen Edith Bailey Eubanks
Francis Earl Bailey (died in childhood)
Daisey's full name was Dorothea Rosalee Grant Bailey.
She was my Great-Grandmother.
Could you change

Hi Texas Chessher,
Please check your Profile Page on Find A Grave and accept or reject the Edit I sent you re Claude. This allows you to link him to his parents quickly and easily. This is a fairly new feature which is very helpful in adding links, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help.
