Obituaries from newspapers are "works for hire". This means that if you find an obituary from MORE than 95 years ago, it's ok to post it verbatim. If it is more recent than that, please paraphrase it before asking me to add it to my records. If you don't, I may not have time to paraphrase it myself, and as a result, it may not get added.

If you see a record where I, myself have made this mistake (and I know I have before I learned of this law), feel free to nicely ask me to fix it, and I will do it.
