My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people.|
If you find any errors, want additional information or an obituary added, please send it through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
IF YOU REQUEST A TRANSFER, BE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO A LIFETIME OF MAINTAINING THE MEMORIAL. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW OF MY OLDER TRANSFERS ARE MAINTAINED BY CONTRIBUTORS WHO NO LONGER RESPOND.
EDITS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE SOURCE.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.
What kind of photos may be added to a memorial page?
You may add a grave photo of the headstone or a portrait photo containing the memorialized. Do not add photos of the cemetery gate to the memorial but instead add them to the cemetery's page. If a cemetery photo has been designated by admin to serve as the default photo to appear on individual memorial pages in that cemetery, it will appear automatically. Not all cemeteries have a default photo designated. There is a limit of 5 photos for non-famous memorials that have not been sponsored. Sponsored memorials may have up to 20 photos. Any contributor can upload an appropriate photo to any memorial regardless of who manages the page. No permission from the memorial manager is needed. However, if there is already a photo of the headstone, do not add a second similar photo unless the original is of poor quality and the new photo is dramatically better. This leaves room for photos of the deceased within the five-photo limit on unsponsored memorials. Please note that it is not appropriate to delete a page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created just because you don't like a photo that someone else has added. If the photo is an appropriate addition to the memorial, it will be allowed to remain.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You

I agree with you that Ancestry.com and "family research books" are not adequate sources.That is why I do not use these sources and do my own research.As a published genealogist with a copyrighted publication in the Library of Congress, I believe my research is professional and my research on my gr gr grandfather Samuel J. Redenbo is correct.To answer your question, Sarah E.'s maiden name is Mattinly.Her two marriages can be found at the website of Illinois Secretary of State. However, I can send you a copy of Samuel and Sarah E.'s marriage record if you will send me your email address.As I mentioned before, the 1880 census for S.J. Redinbow and Sarah E. in Jewell Co., KS shows Sarah F., born before Samuel and Sarah E. wedded, to be a stepdaughter to my gr gr grandfather Samuel.I see that several people have added information on Samuel and his descendants, and I hope you will respect my concerns by correcting these entries.

Would you please remove the Omaha obit and the information you added in reference to Delana's given name? I am working on getting the Hebron obit.

Although you said "Editor has given permission to post on F-A-G", I saw the same obituary in a different paper so I don't think the Nuckolls County Locomotive-Gazette editor is the author/copyright holder.
I hope you understand that I don't want to violate Find A Grave's Terms of Service.

You are amazing. What a treat.

Ms. Peggy, thank you ever so much for James' obituary! I cannot thank you enough for you kindness.
|Wes Parker||RE: Tom Sargent|
You are very welcome Peggy. The cemetery had no listing for Tom in their database and I stumbled across him while looking for someone else. I gave the info to the nice lady in the office and I think she's gonna fix it.

I asked at the office, they didn't seem to be aware of anything in the works, (or at least anything that they would share with me). However, I think they work well with Find a Grave volunteers. I will try to remember to look again in the spring for the head stone. Please feel free to send me a reminder email. Take care.
