John Van Hoy
John William Van Hoy, father of Bill Van Hoy and Susan Ridge, died Saturday, March, 15, 2003, at the Four Seasons Health Care Center. He was 91.
He was born March 11, 1912 in Loogootee to Charles and Clara (Larkin) Van Hoy.
Mr. Van Hoy graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Agriculture with emphasis in Agronomy. He was a professional farm manager with Rural Appraisal for Van Hoy Farm Management Services. He was past president, honorary and lifetime member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He was a Cub Scout Master in Oxford.
Survivors include a son, Bill Van Hoy of Indianapolis; daughters, Jonna Risser of Grapevine, Texas and Susan Ridge of Nashville; five grandchildren and two great grand children.
A service will be held Thursday, March 20, at the New Life Community Church in Nashville. Visitation is today, March 19, at Bond Mitchell Funeral Home with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Pastor Jack Haun will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus or Bloomington Hospice or Focus on the Family in care of Bond Mitchell Funeral Home.

Dorothy E. Biltz, of Nashville, died Monday, January 20, 2003, at Brown County Health and Living Community. She was 81.
She was born on December 27, 1922, in Wisconsin. She married Carl Biltz, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2001.
Ms. Biltz had worked at Brown County Pottery Shop and retired in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Waltman of Nashville; a son, Jerry Twohig of California, and caregiver and grandson, Bryan Waltman of Nashville, as well as two other grandsons and a granddaughter.
A service was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church Wednesday, January 22, with Father William Stumpf and Sister Mildred Wannemuehler officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
