It was the custom of our family, out of respect; to visit the cemeteries where our family members are resting. I no longer live in my home state so this site is the next best thing.

As time allows, I can be found "adding names" to my former home state cemeteries. I'd like to think I'm leaving a small memorial to the people of Southwestern Pa., and hope that someday the information will be useful to the generations of the next millennium.

A favorite Russian proverb;
"We live as long as we are remembered…" Find-a-grave helps us do just that.

Just a Note to everyone who may be contacting me:

I do not at present have internet available at home. I DO read all emails and I DO read all corrections, it just takes me time to make corrections or connections.

OK ... lately I've been getting over-whelmed transfer requests for memorials that have been on Findagrave 5 to 7 years. For me to consider these requests please state how you're related to the requested transfer.

I'm very sorry I can't possibly transfer every memorial I have posted, I'm not trying to be unresonable but I'm having people request transfers when they're not even remotely related. I love Findagrave, the memorials aren't suppose to be about "who" owns them, it's to remember those who are no longer with us.

I was so excited to think that I had finally found my great-great grandfather...

I was back in Pittsburgh last week (I live in Bozeman, MT) visiting my aunt, and stopped in at the cemetery office, only to find out that he is NOT buried there. I even had them check under the spelling Webber, just in case it had been entered incorrectly.

So I'm wondering if you have any way of telling me what your source is for entering him in this cemetery. I know it's not very likely after all this time...but I can always hope!

Thanks for your time!

RE: Entries without data to support
Entry #15173797 does not have the photo Millenium took. As Millennium holds ownership none of us can contribute clarification of very large families. It is this opportunity that makes this site a valuable research resource.

Thank You So Much
Thank you so much for honoring my father-in-law, Arthur Dees, Find A Grave Memorial# 10850921, buried in Ormond Beach, Volusia County, Florida, with the wonderful memorial and with the addition of the shrouded Badge and his military medals. It truly means a lot to our family that you took the time to go out of your way and do this for him. He was a wonderful man.

Thanks, again -
Betty Dees

Entries without data to support
I can understand your wish to help us remember our families and friends. However, merely a name in a cemetery without some evidence confuses contributors like me.

David Craven
Hi,

I noticed in your bio that many of the graves you photograph are of relatives. I am trying to locate more information on David Craven. My great great great grandfather, James Craven, had a brother named Dave who died during the war. Given the proximity of David's grave to James' in Monongahela Cemetery and that both would have been members of Co E of the 22nd PA Cav at one point, I'm trying to establish whether this Dave is, in fact, the brother. If so this might help me get further background on James and David's parents, etc. Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Sincerely,
Julie

Robert's middle name was Weighnel, and everyone called him "Bob". He was born October 18, 1928, in Lucy, Shelby County, Tennessee, to Lucy Leona Hardee, and it is assumed, Jack Hardee. I don't know where the "daughter" came from, as he had no children of his own and neither did Ruth. They married late in life.

Thank You
Just a word of thanks for the memorials you take the time to post. I was just wandering around Lake View Cemetery and saw Howard Edwards' grave. I thought, that has to be my father's long time friend from church. Sure enough, when I went to post the picture of his grave, it was the same Howard.

Thanks again,

Nancy Hart

Would you please transfer this memorial to me. As I have stated in previous requests there were errors in the obit that you created the memorial from and this made it very hard for me to find my aunt. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. My member number is 47775657. Thank you, Bobbie
