I welcome corrections, additional information, and requests for linking family members. Please use the "Suggest a Correction" tab and provide the memorial ID numbers of the parents you want linked to.

I also will gladly transfer memorials that are not my relatives to anyone genuinely interested in maintaining them. Please contact me privately and provide a method of communication if your profile does not contain your e-mail address

If you have photos of anyone I have created a memorial for, and you are not a FindaGrave member, I will gladly post the photos to the memorial site to put more faces with the names and dates.

Please remember that Find-a-Grave is a network of volunteers. If someone takes the time to locate the gravesite for you, photograph the marker, and post it to the site for you, please take the time to acknowledge their efforts.

Boundless harvesting of another person's research and publishing it elsewhere as your own is not genealogy, it's downright inconsiderate.

Thank you so much for fulfilling these two photo requests. I'm trying to get my head around all of the Duey families in Cumberland and Dauphin counties....and have been for years. God Bless You!!!!

we are to have the name on the memorial match the stone- so Anna should be noted in the bio not in the first name field. I will delete mine when that is corrected on yours.

Thank you
Take care.

RE: Re: Thomas O Jones
Good Morning:
You are so prompt, sir! :) I do know where my father died. He was deemed dead when taken to Takoma Park Adventist Hospital in Washington, D.C., in August, 1946. He died on his birthday, incidentally, August 1, 1946. He was 42 years of age. I was 3. I found him on the floor of the bedroom at home.

There are some peculiarities about his death. His obituary was deliberately misleading, saying he died from a long illness. Not so. He played basketball with his regular group of guys the night before his death. And, Mr. Ed Knee, Caretaker of East Harrisburg Cemetery, told us that it was so peculiar that 'the cause of death was not to be disclosed'. My father did very sensitive work during the war. My mother and I were sent away and he was kept under tight security. Having died in Washington, D.C., where efficiency in city government is notoriously lacking, there is no hope of my getting a death certificate! I have felt for the last 15 years or so that my father's death was not 'from natural causes' but I cannot prove anything.

I thank you for your offer to assist me in securing information. He was born in Allegheny County, PA, and lived in Pennsylvania until moving to D.C. upon being employed by IBM. But since he did not die in PA, there is nothing further that can be done in securing his death certificate.

Have a good day and stay warm, Mr. Milliken. You are performing a great service for many and I am so glad to have met your acquaintance.

Re: Thomas O Jones

I just came across my father's notation on the Find A Grave site. He is Thomas O. Jones, buried in East Harrisburg Cemetery. You have his birth and death dates accurate so I know it's him!

How did you get this information? I am trying to find out more about his father. I know everything about his mother, my grandmother. Both he and she are buried at the same gravesite in East Harrisburg Cemetery. Any information you can give me will be helpful. My grandmother's name was: Mabel King (Jones, Moser, Moyer). Yes, she was married 3 times, first to my grandfather, Thomas O. Jones, Sr.

Thank you, Marie Mabel King Jones Johnson
