Bio Photo First and foremost... Many thanks to the two interpreters that have been a tremendous help: Nicholas Maskalick and Frank Klawonn

Our Motto: No Cemetery too big, no Cemetery too small, if we can't find a marker, it's not there at all!
We, the genealogist and the photographer, really enjoy being volunteers for Find-a-Grave. It is very gratifying to be helping others and making new friends. Also, it is enjoyable seeing the earlier generation's monuments, crypts and markers.
We are a retired military family (USMC). After over 22 years we settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. Charlie is from Tennessee, Mary grew up in Pittsburgh. (Mary won the tossup.)
Thanks to all for the great responses of our findings. They are the icing on the cake!

No I don't the newspaper accounting .. I have the death register which states he was crushed in the accident. If you have it or know where to locate it that might be good. After searching all day...I now believe he may not be the John Feeney who was married to Sarah Clendennen Hanson. I have found a Bridget Feeney buried next to him at St. Mary's who died in 1903..this could be a wife or could be a child. There is a Bridget Feeney who is on the 1880 census..who is a widow and lives in the correct place, but John did not die until I do not think the Bridget of 1880 census could be his wife either..
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Mary,
Thanks for the photo of William's marker. He's another Char-Val student. Someone told me that he died in a submarine accident in Hawaii, but I haven't been able to verify that yet. Still looking. I do have his obituary but not the story. Mary

Mary - I got that date from a family tree on The name of the tree is Graham. They have the 1850 census listed as their source, so clearly they have other information since that only has age.
