RE: McMechans in Greenwood
Thanks! You're my Hero! The only one of them I was really concerned about was Anna Pottenger M, James first wife, because I can't figure out where she fits into the family tree.

Marr rec to james says dad is Willis Pottenger (no mother listed), but I have no Willis in my tree. Greenwood records say parents "W Pottenger" and "H Pottenger". so I think she may be the d/o Wilson Pottenger and Hettie Andrew. Since Anna is buried in Greenwood, I would expect her parents to be buried there, but... I just reviewed my spreadsheet for Pottenger burials in Greenwood again, and there is no H/W combo that equals W & H Pottenger, much less one with an Anna among their siblings.

Wilson and Hettie are buried at Bevis Cedar Grove and I have nothing beyond a birth year for their daughter Anna of Sep 1875 (1900 census). Any ideas? (I'm just bouncing my own ideas around here.)

Thanks again for going to all that effort.

McMechans in Greenwood
Frank, thank you so much for adding those photos to their memorials.

Now I have a question. James Edward McMechan married a second time after Anna died. He married Edna May Morris. Is it possible that space #5 is taken by her? or is that Laura, Walter's wife?

Thanks again,
Tom Pottenger
