Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been interested in genealogy for as long as I can remember. I was blessed to have grown up near my grandmother, who happened to remember a lot of family names and stories. :) I credit my passion (or obsession to some...ha ha) as coming from her. I also happen to have a fondness for old cemeteries.

I have no problem transferring memorials to people who ask. I like to document whole cemeteries, giving me a lot of memorials that I have no relation to. So feel free to ask! :) On a side note, please do not email me asking for detailed info about cemeteries (like who is buried there, etc.). I do not have any specific information on a cemetery, other than what you see on this website. I find some on a map, and some are stumbled upon by just driving down the road.

I also do not mind if someone would like to copy my gravestone pictures for their family trees. It would be nice to receive a credit mention where ever you might post the pictures...but at the same time, it won't hurt my feelings if I don't. The pictures I take are for the "greater good" and I take them, hoping that someone out there will find them...maybe they might even help someone piece together part of their family tree that's been a mystery! :)

My family names: Carlisle, Rosan, Lively, Burton, Mathis, Ussery, Miles, Hicks, Lavender, Gustin, Trill, Offerman, Ritter, Wabbena, Sternberg, Tekstra, Doescher, Atkins/Adkins, Paton/Payton, Robinson, Bonham, Cleavenger, Barnett, Crawford, Fuller, Russell, Halfacre (just to name a few!)

Lillie B. Ferguson Memorial #64917157
Thank you so much for all your wonderful work in posting the graves of so many people, particularly of my family in Webber Campground Cemetery in Galatia, Saline Co., Illinois. Lillie's tombstone is particularly hard to read, and I have some additional information about her birth and death dates that will show you that these dates need to be corrected on her findagrave memorial. Please understand I am not being critical; I am very grateful you have found her grave. But I have the family records of their daughter-in-law, which included a family bible. The correct birth date for Lillie should be Feb 9, 1860, not Feb 9, 1800. And the corrected death date should be Dec 20, 1889, not Dec 20, 1863. Looking at the tombstone, it's easy to see how these years were misread. Further proof of the correct dates is that the 1880 Census of Saline Co., Illinois, shows James Frances Ferguson, age 34, shown as Frank in the census, is with his wife Lillie B., age 19. So she is alive in 1880 and did not die in 1863 as your memorial entry shows. It also shows that the 1860 birth year is much closer to her age than the 1800 birth date you have in her memorial. In light of this new information, would you please consider correcting your memorial birth and death dates of Lillie, so that other people looking for her tombstone will not be misled? I have further birth and death information for her husband, also, but I don't know if you want to report that on his memorial (#64917090)since his tombstone does not seem to include his birth and death dates anyway, just his Civil War military service.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Please feel free to ask for additional information if you need it.

RE: Bolton Cemetery
Hi Amanda,
Do you begin to think you are losing your mind after working on Find A Grave for a while? Your memory is not wrong. The memorial for Wesley was one that I had transferred to me by another volunteer and when you sent me the message that it was listed wrong, I thought you were notifying me to correct it, so I did. That's why you found the memorial for him when you went back to post the picture. I know things like that can drive you crazy--sorry. I think your picture is fine, so no need to remove it. Have a good weekend. Again, sorry for the confusion.
