I started working on the family trees, of my husband and myself, about 50 years ago. I was never told that there would be no end to it.|
My children gave me my first computer for my birthday, this year. (2010) I am having the time of my life. Find A Grave is the best thing that ever happened to a genealogist. Pushing buttons is much better than reading film until your eyes cross.
Most of the memorials I have added are not my family. I will be more than happy to transfer those to anyone who can add information and/or pictures. You do not have to be related. A good friend is better than nothing.
Please do NOT add death certificates to my memorials. Just ask for a transfer and then when it is your memorial you can add anything you like.
Please send documentation with your edits. I don't change my memorials without documentation. You may prefer to ask for a transfer and that will be fine as long as it isn't my family.
Please, please, please use the edit in the upper right hand corner of the memorial you wish to have edited.

|Stephanie C||RE: Virgil Clark|
Good Morning Lela,
Thanks for helping out. Virgil Clark (67078268) needs to be linked to his parents. His father is 93700958 (James Clark) and his mother is 68175391 (Emma Muntz).
Take good care,
|Paul Youngstrom||RE: Parents of Dorcus Kincaid Barnes?|
No, sorry, not a memorial. Dorcas Kincaid was married to Amos Barnes at Kincaid's fort, St. Charles County, Missouri in 1812. They both lived and died thereafter in Boone County. I'm trying to identify her parents, purportedly David Kincaid and Jane Gwinn (or Grimes), but everything is coming up empty. Just looking for clues. Sorry.
|Paul Youngstrom||Parents of Dorcus Kincaid Barnes?|
Do you know of any records the parents of Dorcus Kincaid Barnes? I have found a record of the marriage at Walnut Hill Presbyterian Church, Fayette Co., KY by Rev. James Crawford on 11 APR 1786 between David Kinkaid & Jane Grimes (or Gwinn/Guinn/Guynn ?). It is believed that Dorcas was their second child, born 04 May 1793 Madison Co., KY, that she married Amos Barnes on 16 Mar 1812 at Kincaid Fort, St. Charles Co., MO and lived the rest of her life in Missouri. However, I can find no other records for David or Jane. I'd appreciate any help/suggestions!

It's getting pretty overgrown as you can see but not as bad as others I've been in in Johnson county. I will probably do one more trip down there next weekend to see if I can find any of the 11 headstones I missed this time. I took 3 bottles of water up there with me and when I ran out due to the hot humid weather I had to leave for safeties sake.
Also do you think there really was a Lillian George or did someone mix it up with William which has a lot of the same letters.
I'll also be adding a memorial stone picture for Allen Tannelhill that has a beautiful carving of what I like to call the tree of life. bill

Lela, you are the only person who has ever objected to Death Certificates. I've had responses that it has added information they didn't have to just appreciating a copy. Usually people are out of Missouri and don't know how to get a copy. I will be happy to remove from your requests.

It's Paul Forrester (#106143910), his wife Margaret and his 2 children, Margaret & Robert.

I'm currently adding headstone photos that I took at Moffat Old cemetery in Scotland and have come across the 4 memorials that you created for the Forrester Family. Firstly, I have added an extra photo - hope you don't mind. And, secondly I was wondering if you have a connection to them and know if Margaret (nee Johnstone) is actually connected to the Johnstone family that are listed on another face of the memorial.

In going through old notes and found one from Jacob Rosenbalm's oldest granddaughter. She said he was buried at Barnes Cemetery. His military files have Cambellite so possibly it was referred to that in early years. Thank you.
