James and Hannah Goodenow Pendleton
Hi Gus: Is the information entered for Hannah's death an exact transcription of the gravestone? Hannah Goodenow Pendleton was named in the will of her husband in 1709 so the death date transcribed for this memorial is either not her or it is incorrect. And some histories state she was alive in 1725 but I cannot find a source citation for the 1725 date. I am trying to determine whether this is a grave for a different Hannah, or whether there is an error. Thanks so much for helping clear this up. K. McGarry

Dr. Francis LeBaron Memorial #31892316
Thought you would want to know that the image you have attached to this memorial is not Dr. Francis LeBaron 1668-1704. The image is that of Dr. Francis LeBaron, Apothecary General 1781-1829.He was the great-grandson of Dr. Francis LeBaron who came from France to Plymouth.

Dr. William Dyer,

I have him in my family tree and I notice that his dob is 7 Mar 1653 which this would make him 85 years and i notice on his head stone it says he was 85 when he died

Good Morning, Someone has requested a photo of this headstone and I see you created the memorial. Unfortunately, there is no way she is buried in Proprietor's Cemetery since it was just a pasture in the 1600s. The cemetery wasn't formally laid out until 1830. I checked many of the older cemeteries in Portsmouth using documents in the special collections area of the public library. I couldn't find her anywhere. June

Father of Mary Taylor is William
Pages 525 - 526
Dr. William of Barnstable, b. 1653.
Settled at Truro before the proprietors.
He m. 1686, Mary, dau of Wm. Taylor of B.
The house occupied by the late Capt. Ebenezer Atkins taken down within the last twenty years, was built by him. The gravestones from which we copy, are still in good condition in the Old North.
Here lies buried the body of
Dr. Wm. Dyer, aged about 85 years.
Died July ye 27th, 1738.
Here lies buried the body of Mrs.
Mary Dyer, wife to Dr. Wm. Dyer.
Died Oct. ye 8th, 1738,
aged about 80 years.
The old doctor had a knack of keeping in hot water with his neighbors, and like Tristam Shandy's father, had a spice in
his temper known by the name of perseverance in a good cause, and obstinacy in a bad one. I should do great injustice to a long line of descendants, justly proud of their ancestors,to deny them a like precious inheritance. His family all
married and settled around him, soon became among the largest and most influential in town ; a position maintained to this day.

Bradley Barlow Wilson
Nevermind!! I think I figured it out. His name is Bradley Barlowe Wilson and his son was Bradley Barlow Wilson. He has a site already created. Maybe they can be linked so it shows the 7th son. Sorry for my mistake!
