Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have often been told that I am a rather odd sort for enjoying spending time at cemeteries. I enjoy doing this because I am interested in preserving our past and I believe cemeteries are definitely a starting place.

At this time, I would also like to express that my involvement with Find A Grave is NEVER to upset anyone. It is purely to be able to provide a place for us to honor those we love and provide information for those who are trying to find their family, friends and loved ones. If I have entered someone you wish not be part of Find A Grave, I will gladly remove them as soon as I get a chance.

I do manage a number of memorials on this website and I have no problem transferring those individuals to family or friends who will do a better job providing the loving care they deserve. I look at Find A Graves "guidelines" as suggestions, not the all end of all rules and the world is going to end if we do not follow them.

On that note, I would also like to let everyone know that I work a full-time job and Find A Gave is a hobby for me. I am trying to do my best to keep up with all of the emails and information sent to me. Unfortunatly, I am not doing a very good job. If you have sent a request or information to me in the past and I have not responded to you, I kindly ask you send the request to me again.

I hope I have not offended anyone and everyone realizes I enjoy participating in this forum to honor our families, friends, and our past.

Denvil Mixon
Denvil Mixon # 58166758 is not deceased. He lives in Allen, TX. That is his wife on the tombstone as you have it, and even though his name is on the tombstone, he is not deceased. He is my 1st cousin, once removed. Although I have not spoken to him in a long time, I have been in contact with another 2nd cousin, who spoke with him in the last few months.

Thank You

Beverly Spencer Brown
John William Spencer
Hello! I see you have posted my Father's gravesite. I appreciate you doing this. He has three children, myself, Beverly Brown, my older brother, William Rickey Spencer and my younger brother, Howard Keith Spencer. Rickey and Keith reside in Kingsland, AR. I reside in Warren, AR. My Mother, Melba A. Childs, resides in Kinsland, AR. She and my Father divorced in 1967. He never remarried. He lived in Pine Bluff, AR, when he passed away. He had been in a long relationship with Mary Jo Combs. My brother Rickey, has two children from his first wife, Sherry Rhinehart (William Matthew Spencer and Tiffany Lynn Spencer Holland). Matthew has two children, Christopher "Bubba" Spencer and Keira Necolle Spencer. Tiffany is married to Jerried Holland and they have one child, Spencer Hayes Holland. Rickey is remarried to Tleatha "Tootie" Murdoch Spencer. Tootie had four children from her first marriage. My brother, Keith is married to Connie Burns Spencer and they have three children, Lauren Burns Spencer Williams and Jonathan and Taylor Spencer (twins). Lauren is married to Bradley Williams and they have a son, Emerson. I have no children. I am married to Edward "Eddie" Brown. My Dad's family was from Kingsland and many of them are buried at Crossroads Cemetery. i welcome anyone contacting me with information. My Dad's aunts and uncles were instrumental in his upbringing as his Father left him and his Mother behind when Dad was only 3 years old. His name was also John and my Grandmother's name is Lela Leanora German Spencer. The German Family were some of the first residents of Kingsland, moving there from Oklahoma, I think. They were such great people, never heard anything bad about them. My Dad's Uncle, William Levi "Willie" German was with my Dad when he passed away in 1985. He too is buried at the Crossroads Cemetery. He was a Jewel and loved my Dad like his own child. He never had any of his own. I could go on and on. I would really like to know more about my Dad's Dad. All I know is he was working at sea, contracted pheumonia, died and was buried at sea. I don't know what year and don't know where. I think it was probably in the late 50's or early 60's but not sure. It broke my Uncle Willie's heart when he heard. My Dad did not talk about it. I know that the Spencer family came from the hills of Tennessee. I hope to one day have time to do more research. Thanks to everyone who contributes. God bless you all!

I am wondering where you got the date for TGM's death. You have it listed as Dec. 18, 1913. His gravestone marker at his grave in Midway Cemetery (TX) has Dec. 11 (#23283282). He was my great-grandfather. Thanks.

I have a photo of Irma Oxley's headstone, in Wylie, Tx. It shows that someone has cleaned the area and left flowers on the headstone.
Would you like that photo, maybe to replace the same one you posted on Mrs. Oxley's memorial?
I don't care about credit for the photo, just thought maybe it was a little more cheery...

Freeland Sheldon
I see that you have created a memorial for Freeland Sheldon in Bayo Meto Cemetery memorial # 20964074. However, he is buried at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas memorial #71204639. I had requested a photo and a volunteer was unable to find a marker in Bayo Meto Cemetery. Unless you think this is a different person with the same name, I am requesting that you remove this memorial as it appears to be a error. Thank you,

Quick Question

I noticed you had left flowers on Find A Grave Memorial# 16574181 for Barbara Ann Pinkston. I was wondering if you knew how she was related to the other Pinkston's in the same cemetery (perhaps a child of Walter L. Pinkston, Find A Grave Memorial# 16574184?). Any information you might have is appreciated.
