I've been working on my family genealogy since 1994, and find the challenges to be very rewarding. I have met lots of 'cousins' in the process. My family surnames are: Gist, Estes, Hannah, Henson, Smith, Roberson, Arthur, Gibson, Davis. Most of these were located in NW Alabama, NE Mississippi and S. Central Tennessee.|

Hello, Please verify the parents of Victor R. Butterworth. You are showing his parents as Bud and Dessie Butterworth, buried at Antioch Baptist Cemetery #1. Bud and Dessie had 2 children that I know of, Edward and Grace. Edward was born in 1907 and Grace in 1909. I am Bud's great niece and my family doesn't remember a Victor. Thanks so much for researching on your end. Donna Wilson

Thanks for correcting me on his burial
|Betty Bolton Starnes||Levi Narmore|
My name is Betty Starnes and I have been researching the William G Thorn family and found that William's wife was Lula, daughter of Levi Narmore. Do you have any information on William G. Thorn's family? I would certainly appreciate any info you may have and I will gladly share any information I have on them. I love researching my family lines but it is like looking for a needle in a haystack many times. Thank you for your work in Find A Grave. Betty
This is my dad. I have never heard/seen Franklin in his name. Where did you see it?? I tried to edit but the site won't let me. Check it out, please.

You are welcome
Thank you, that was interesting. Do you know if Nettie had been married before? I wonder what she was doing in South Dakota after her husband died? There is an interesting story about Nettie's father (#83560667) that I put on his memorial page, taken almost word by word from an e-mail sent to me by his grandson, John (Jack) Hood. From what I understand, Nettie's mother's father was a famous strongman, but I don't know anything else about that, but there must be an interesting story there.
|Jan Darby||Mrs. George Ledbetter|
If you go to Anna Hood, findagrave #58281991, buried at St. Paul Lutheran Cem in Minnesota, you will see on the obit there that Anna's sister was a Mrs. George Ledbetter of Albany. I don't know if it is the same person listed as his wife, or if George had more than one wife? Anyway, if you can figure it out, you might want to link the wife to her parents. I am from the Hood line, so don't really know much about Anna. Just wanted to share what I have.

Are you related to George?
