|Bio and Links|
I have been doing my family and my husband's family reaearch since 2008. I would love to hear from anyone who has connections. The surnames I am researching include, Bruman, Houck, Knoche, Lange, Grobbel, Dice, Howe, Seasons, and Collins. Locations include Detroit, Warren, Centerline, Lapeer, North Branch, Burnside, Five Lakes, and Kings Mill in Michigan, McLeod County in Minnesota, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and North Adams, Massachusetts.|
I have established many memorial pages as I learn the burial sites. If I have established a memorial page for someone who is dear to you, please let me know and I will do a transfer. I am not related to anyone in Tennessee, so I am willing to transfer any Tennessee memorials. Please make your request through the edit tab.
Out of respect for each individual memorialized on this site, please summarize biographical information in a nicely written paragraph rather than submitting a canned form of raw data from census records, death indices, and other documents.
Although Find a Grave allows records such as death certificates or military documents to be uploaded on the memorial pages, I would prefer you not upload them if they are findable online. It is important to leave that space available for items like photos of the person and their marker. The information found on these documents can be summarized in the biography. It is nice to open a memorial and find a cemetery photo, marker photo, or even a personal picture. I feel like I am actually virtually visiting the final resting place.

It does indeed appear to be duplicates in one fashion. The difference is that the graves are not in Hillcrest cemetery they are in the Glencoe cemetery. I've transcribed & photographed both Glencoe & Hillcrest completely. I always check for duplicates prior to posting. There was no posting in the proper cemetery for these people so I listed. Hope that helps clear things up? The boundaries for the cemetery's are not all that clear unless you know exactly where they are.

This photo doesn't belong with Anna Mae Swoish or her parents Joseph and Edith Swoish. It is the grave marker for Edward and Caroline Swoish. Their names were stamped into the mortar on each side of the cross. You can see the patches, the names were like the name Swoish on the front but have worn out over the years.

When I asked for the section and plot the office told me A1 is in the Old Pioneer Cemetery. I did walk the entire area and found the row for the 200's but didn't find Joseph or any clear markings for 500's. They also told me that it is possible there is no longer a marker or there never was. Sorry again!

Thank you for seeing my typo. I have corrected the memorial.

Yes - absolutely - will do later today. TY for catching. I've been going back to my first entries & rotating & sometimes take new photos w/new camera. I'll review this cemetery - Txs again. I've advanced since those early days & learned much more w/new camera.
I am a descendent of Mary Klauka DeGroff and had been led to believe that she is buried at Meade also. I find a Henry C. and a Hezekiah b1877 d1918, but no Henry Hezekiah. I have a copy of the recorded graves at Meade & hangout there alot because its close to home. If I find Mary & Henry H I will ket you know.
Thanks for your prompt response regarding edits.
Sincerely, Bob DeLozier
