Thank you for the updated photo of her headstone. I had been waiting long enough that it was not fresh in my mind how I would be connected. She is grandmother of a friend who will be so excited to see this. Many more thanks for the help. Kennetta
The photo for Joan Adams is greatly appreciated.

You have added beautiful photos to the Verd memorial pages. Thank you. Can you tell me who the parents of Charles Verd, Jr. (d. 1917) were? I would like to link them. I will be happy to add any other information for him that you have too.

Thank you so, so much! I'd love any pictures you could find. Daisy was always an important part of my grandfather's life, and I love learning more about her and her family. My pappaw was just telling me yesterday when I mentioned our cemetery adventure that he remembered that she kept pictures of Washington Columbus and Mary Ann Mershon on her wall, and that his father would help dust them and straighten them out. I wish we had pictures to share with you, but unfortunately my pappaw Clyde, her son, died at an early age, so we don't have much from his side of the family. I think I have a picture of Daisy later in life. If I find it, I'll be sure to send it to you.
We went to Askins yesterday and we found the farm. We got the name and phone number of the man who owns it from the local historical society, and he was super nice and tried to give us some directions to the cemetery. We searched the property for a while, but we couldn't find the cemetery. The weeds were just too grown up around everything. But we haven't given up and we're going to try again later, once the weeds have hopefully died down some.
It certainly was an adventure and I can't wait until we get the chance to search again!
Thanks again for all your help! I really appreciate it!

Thank you SO MUCH for the directions and the map! I cannot thank you enough. I am so excited and I am going to visit the cemetery as soon as I can. It's such a relief to be able to find it after looking for it for so long.
I'm so amazed that you're related to Noah Askins, because I'm the great-great-granddaughter of Noah's (slightly) older sister Daisy Lee!
Do you happen to know if I need permission to visit the cemetery, since it's on a farm?
Thanks so much again for getting back to me!
Hello! I am a descendant of W.C. Askins and Mary A. Mershon. I noticed that you left some photos of their stones on this site, and I was wondering if you could give me some directions to the cemetery. I have been to Askins and I found one cemetery, but I could not find either of their graves. I would really appreciate your help in locating the cemetery. Thanks!

Thanks Penny! Your sharing is greatly appreciated. :} If I find any other Haynes or relatives of the Haynes that you have taken photos of their memorials, would it be ok to use them too? Don't want to be greedy, but thought it might be easier to ask this way than to request for each one. (There are MANY Haynes out there and in that cemetery that you photographed Rhoda in.)

I got a hint from Ancestry that took me to FindAGrave.com where I found a wonderful accounting of Rhoda's family and a great picture of her headstone. I would love to use that photo of her memorial on my private tree but won't copy without your permission.
Thank you for all of your wonderful hard work on Find A Grave. It is greatly appreciated!
