|Dolores (nee Atkins) Bohn & Daniel Joseph Bohn are members of the Filson Historical Society, Louisville,Ky; the Louisville Genealogical Society; Ancestral Trails Historical Society; and the Nelson County Genealogical Roundtable. Danny is also a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Dolores & Danny have been doing extensive genealogy for many years on both of our families. |
Dolores' ancestors resided in Marion Co., KY & Washington Co., KY, and of course before that Maryland. When we do our research & take photos of the stones in the cemeteries in Marion County, which is real often, my roots are there. We have a special fondness for St. Charles, St. Augustine & St. Francis of Assisi, because so many of Dolores' ancestors went to church there and are buried in their cemeteries. Dolores' surnames are Atkins, Phillips, Thompson, Russell, Carrico, Smith, Mattingly, Spalding, O'Daniel, Mudd, just to name a few.
We are dedicated to researching our ancestors and it is very important to us to document our research. Our memorials are a tribute to them !! We feel that memorials should be a special tribute to each person, and we want to make sure that everyone is always remembered!!

I have added several of her deceased children to her. She had multiple still births and premie babys mostly boys in which she repeated giving her sons name William Edward. Sadly not one she name that survived. Nor did she after the last ones birth. Dana

|Lillie Riney||Hilary Clark|
thanks so much for the photo.
I am happy to help you with your research.
Without actually going to the Racine Library, I checked their website and could not locate any local obits for either Frances or Leo. Since Leo died in Atlanta, maybe a death notice would only be posted there. For Frances, you record that she died in Racine, but I cannot find a local death notice. I can keep looking if you wish.

Sorry, I should also mention that nearby were the burial enclosures for Albert Wellnitz (1902-1980) and Anne M. Wellnitz (1897-1982). I don't know if they are related or if you want this information - just let me know.

I have taken a photo of the burial crypt for Leo and Frances Wellnitz at Calvary Cemetery in Racine. The memorial for Leo indicates that his burial location is unknown; hopefully, I have solved that mystery. With your permission, I will go ahead and post a photo of the combined enclosure for Leo and Frances on Frances' memorial page. If you want me to proceed to post similar photos on Leo's page, please let me know.

|Schickel Nelson||FindaGrave link Christina J Kroeger Snider & daughter Evelyn Snider Nussbaum|
I was delighted to find an ancestry.com hint linking your memorial pages on Christine Kroeger Snider and Evelyn Snider Nussbaum to my tree. Christine was my great aunt, sister to my grandmother Josephine Kroeger Gast. Her daughter Evelyn was my mother (Angela Gast)'s first cousin. They were born only 3 days apart and were childhood best friends. I have photos of Evelyn and Christine but had not seen the portrait displayed on your site. Thanks so very much for publishing. I'd welcome contact from anyone with knowledge of the family.
|Kathy Green||Joseph M Mattingly|
I am wondering if we are related. My dad was Joseph Milton Mattingly, 1929-1969. I see your name on many of my relatives find a grave sites.
Hoping to hear from you,
Kathy Mattingly Green
Thank you so much for the information on the Hughes stones. I appreciate you checking out out for me.
