Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born March 10, 1940 in Hogansville, Troup County, Georgia to Herman Hanson Mattingly and Mary Lee Oma Crowe and the second eldest of seven children to Herman and six to Mary.

My primary genealogical interests include Mattingly and Crow/e and connecting lines. I am descended from Cezar Mattingly but research all of the Mattingly name. From the Crow side, I am descended from James Crow (1713) and his second wife, Grace Denson.

If you see a memorial created by me and the individual concerned is of your immediate line, but not of mine, I am happy to transfer that memorial to you in accordance with Findagrave rules. If you are interested in a memorial outside Findagrave limitations and you have significant information that will improve the memorial, please us the "EDIT KEY" and I will make those changes.

Thanks to all who have contributed to these memorials especially the corrections as accuracy is important.

RE: Bryant's
Hi, thanks for the note. I try to visit and photograph three or four cemeteries on Fort Knox that have not been visited or fully photographed each Memorial Day. Old Grahampton is on my list for next year. I have been to the easy ones and now I find myself walking a half of a mile or more through the woods to find the smaller ones.

Lydia Mattingly
Thank you for the information of Lydia. Another contributor added the parents name. She may have seen the obituary. I will check with the genealogy library in Cherokee County and see if they have the correct information.

Ahaa! I see you moved it already. I have posted the headstone pic and deleted mine.

RE: Matilda Allen
Hi,

Yes, I have the headstone photo, and I am not a family member. Your memorial is the original, so it should stay. So if you'll move it to the other cem, them I'll move the picture and delete mine. Let me know when you do it.

RE: Salvatore Robertaccio memorial
Thanks so much! That's great to know the connection. Unfortunately Marie, who I always called Aunt Annette, passed away this past fall. She was such a kind lady, very much like my grandmother (her sister).

Salvatore Robertaccio memorial
Hi William,
I recently joined find a grave and found my great-grandfather Salvatore Robertaccio, a memorial in which you previously created, #45629021. I noticed you mention in the bio that you'd be willing to transfer the memorial to a member of the Robertaccio family. His daughter, Mary, is my grandmother, and I'd love it if you could transfer it to me?

Also, I'd be curious how the Robertaccio family connects with the Mattingly family!

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to email me.

The memorial I added is a duplicate, so I deleted mine. The other memorial has his middle name as Todd. Sorry about the mix up.
Thank You

Burch Family Cemetery
Mr. Mattingly,

You have placed an entry in Find A Grave for a James T Ballard, buried in Burch Family Cemetery located in Clark County, KY. Do you happen to know the exact location of this cemetery?

I have a grandmother, Lena Seay Ballard, and great-grandmother, Fannie Burch Ballard, buried in the Burch Family Cemetery, and others. I was unable to locate the cemetery, reported as being on Old Ruckerville Road, a few years ago.

Any information would be most gratefully appreciated.
