find this very rewarding. when I go to a cemetary I look for 'my folk ' and then others with similar names. alot of the memorials posted by me that have limited info are those folk. maybe your family so send me any info to add, I can even transfer the memorial to you. Live in the merrimack valley area of massachusetts so as I go to the smaller cemetaries more photos will be added. Keep your loved ones "as close as a button on your shirt" they are alive as long as we remember

RE: Luther Blood 1893 Groton
This is really interesting. Not only does he have a headstone in both the Groton Cemetery (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=86893663) and the Old Burying Ground (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=84749359). Looking at the photo you just added to his memorial in the Groton Cemetery. His daughter, Sally E., and Son, Calvin also have headstones in both cemeteries.

It is possible when his wife died in 1865 and was buried in Groton Cemetery the other names were added to the large headstone. Making it a cenotaph for those 3 names. However, we will probably never know.

Please add that photo to Sally E. and Calvins memorial, since there names are clearly on that stone. Also there should be a note added to these 3 memorials that there is another headstone in the Old Burying Ground too.

Nova Scotia photos
You did a great job with the photos from Nova Scotia! It is so wonderful to be able to "visit" a cemetery so far away. Thanks so much. BLS

And again - thanks so much for the photo! It is such a great help that you have taken the time to locate these head stones and photograph them.
