Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please when suggesting an addition, correction or just talking about a certain memorial, go to the edit button on the memorial you are referring too. This sends a link so all we have to do is click and go straight to the memorial. When sending it other ways you have to click on several links to get to where you want us to go for the correction/update. This is getting really bothersome when I have so many to do a day. This is not the place for corrections/updates. I also will not update if I can not contact you to find out where you got your info if I need to ask questions. I like to verify my corrections before accepting them.

I also do not transfer to someone so they can update then they say they will transfer back to me. If you want to type it up I can always copy and paste it in myself. Thanks for the offer but I am a big girl and I know how.

I live in El Dorado Springs, Cedar Co. MO and I am here to find information on my family Keith, Draelants Ellerman Eslinger Reynolds Hochstedler. I will also help people find information they are looking for. Right now I am working on listing all cemeteries in Cedar Co Missouri. Feel free to email me if you have information to give or if you would like for me to find information for you, and if you see I have made an error please let me know so it can be corrected. I am working from a Cedar Co. Cemetery Directory but still there might be mistakes or typing errors.

I do transfer memorials if your related. I think it is really sad that people are here just for numbers, what does that accomplish. I do not really care how your related as long as the memorial goes to a family member. I do not transfer memorials just because you like to collect them because they are ministers, railroader, or any other people you like to collect, that is not fair to the family members if they want the memorials. And I do not like, when I do transfer a memorial to you that you will delete it and create a new one, HOW RUDE of you. If I feel that is what you will do I will not transfer the memorial. Please let me know how your related, and do not just put that they are in your family tree. I also do not transfer memorials for you to add information then say you will transfer back I am fully capable of updating memorials myself.

Thanks Tess

Something I got in an email I thought was funny.

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a grave side service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Kentucky back-country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost; and being me, I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight.

There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I've never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played 'Amazing Grace,' the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head hung low my heart was full.

As I was opening the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, "I never seen nothin' like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks
for twenty years."

Why can't people just ask for directions?

Thank you Tess!
Tess, thank you so much helping me locate and fill in the blanks of my husband's family tree once again. You have helped me in the past with family members who were buried in cemeteries around Stockton and Eldorado Springs and I appreciate it so much! Thank you for taking the time to take a photo of Lee Chaney's headstone. I was amazed at how fast you responded!! Thanks a million!

RE: Merthena J. Helt #69055474
Tess, if my memory serves me well Merthena died in 1880 and John Helt married her sister Rosa shortly after that.
I don't exactly recall where I received that info but as you know a trip to the remote cemetery is probably going to be the only way to completely verify the record.
This appears to be in the same time frame as Martha Brown died and was buried in the same cemetery.

Tess,
I'm going to send you an e-mail with the Page Co. IA Histories on the Richards. There is also a photo of them. Let me know you got them. Charles Henry Richards was married to Mary Anzolette Safford. I'm a Safford cousin.

RE: Mattie Cook
He was born in Benton Co MO, and she was born in Henry Co MO, but I have been unable to find a marriage record.
I could find no evidence of any children. Yes the last name is Cooke, as you can read on his death certificate, and his whole family...The stone has no dates and looks like a newer stone, placed at a later time, by a well meaning family member.

RE: Adeline Elaine Balf # 29872713
My edit had her mother in it. Her memorial is 81953102.

Her remarried surname is Heglubd. The memorial maintainer there, incorrectly, has Balf as her maiden name. It is Quance.

RE: Adeline E. Balf
The Minnesota Birth Index has her listed and her mother's maiden name too.

RE: Norma J Sloniker
Her husbands parents are:

David Riley Depue 1876 - 1935

Ossa Rosetta Davis 1887 - 1925

I do not have any info on her parents at this time.

Best Regards,

Mike Grilione
