NE Missouri Soldiers
I saw you have a virtual cemetery for the NE Missouri soldiers. My great grandfather was in the 21st Volunteer Infantry. His memorial number is 69265979, if you wish to add him.

RE: Major B.B. King Restoration
Thanks. I was aware of this. Mr. Arnold at the funeral home told me about the Boy Scouts doing a cleanup. My great-great grandfather Hoffman and my great-grandmother Wolter's first husband are buried nearby, but the place was vandalized to the point we can't find the stones. My dad Raymond Wolter and grandfather Frank Wolter knew exactly where they were laid to rest. Because the stones are so scattered, it would take a very long time combing the woods to find the stones, if they can be found. For whatever reason, a lady who documents cemeteries took it upon herself to combine Oak Bluff and Zahn cemeteries. Probably because she didn't really know who was where, even though I could verify some of them.

Bragg cemetery map.
I scanned the map into my computer and have added it to the memorial of Ezekial Bragg. It isn't the best copy and some of the names are difficult to read so if you would prefer I can make a tracing of the map and add it to the memorial instead. Let me know if that would help. Always glad to see a cemetery brought back so it can be preserved and photographed. Thanks so much for informing me of the work being done.

Bragg Cemetery
Yes, I have a copy of the map of the Bragg Cemetery. It is from "The Cemeteries of Adair County, Missouri" published in 1980 by the Adair County Historical Society. I know the Adair County Public Library has a copy of this book and I have two copies of it. Would love to be kept up to date on the restoration project. I have always wanted to photograph stones in the Bragg cemetery but just to busy with other projects.

I looked at King's memorial and saw the stone picture. That stone is not at Oak Bluff. It is at the Zahn Cemetery. The owner of the property it sits on is a Mr. Zahn. He lives in a house at the bottom of the hill east of the cemetery. I don't remember the address, but if you travel south on 5th Street in Canton, you will run into a mailbox that says Zahn on it. Talk to him. There are two ways to get to the cemetery. The other way is from the west at the end of Marion Street. King's stone is in the main clearing. There are dozens of other stones scattered throughout the woods, across the gravel drive. My daughter and I found them. Most were face down.

The monument is at Oak Bluff behind the campus. The actual cemetery is now an athletic field. At the west side of the field are some evergreens. If you look behind evergreens you will see a tall pink stone memorial. A few feet west of monument is a ravine. Down in the ravine are all the headstones that CS removed from cemetery to make room for their athletic field.
