My name is Janice G. (Northrop) Hensley. I have submitted several names to Clear Springs cemetery in 2001 under Janice Hensley but my e-mail address has changed. I am related to the Pierson, Ferguson, Krenning, Barlow & Blanchard families buried in Montgomery Co., IL, and probably more that I haven't found yet. I also have relatives buried in Nebraska, S.Dakota, Missouri, California, Arizona, etc. I got interested in researching the NORTHROP family when my brother gave me a computer and the Family Tree program to get started. I have since expaned my search to include my husband's family, HENSLEY, BLANTON, KERNS, and GRACE. I have researched the names: NORTHROP, BARKER, HENSLEY, FORBES, BLANTON, WILLIAMS, ARNOLD, APPLEGATE, PIERSON, FERGUSON, GRACE, BLANTON, KERNS, BLAIR, and many others. I love to look for information on my vast family. I still live in Oklahoma on a cattle ranch with my husband and have 3 grown children and 17 grandchildren. We have gotten involved in Go-Kart racing with our grandsons in the past year and that keeps us busy too.
Harvey Williams You have a Harvey T. Williams I was at the Wayman cemetery today taking photos and have a photo of a headstone for a Harvey P. Williams who died on Oct 23 188? It looks like 1880 in my photo. it says he was aged 25y 5 m. Could this be the same person. I have the photo if you would like it.
RE: JamesCamberlin #19166426 I live in Edmond, OK where are you? I have written to the closest genealogical society to see if I can find someone to go out and look at the grave. I'm just curious if there really is a 6 foot tall monument with all those words on it, or if the brother just talked big and pocketed the money. You don't have any Hope or Major buried there do you? That's who the Chamberlin daughters married. Elaine
JamesCamberlin #19166426 You did a memorial for James Chamberlin in 2007, in the Waveland Cemetery. He died 30 Jul 1892 in Donnellson at his brother Samuel Chamberlin's home. I am not sure how close you live to the cemetery, but wondered if it was possible to go out and look at his stone again & take a picture. He should be close to his brother Samuel & Samuel's wife Orilla.I just came across an old letter written by Samuel to the family telling about James's burial. He said he spent $60 for a nice monument and he had written on it "James Chamberlin, Born in Indiana 5 Jan 1825 moved to Idaho in 1865, was here on a visit when he died 30 Jul 1892. He died trusting in Jesus the mighty savior." Would like to know if that really got written on the stone. Thanks, Elaine Moody Root firstname.lastname@example.org
