I have been doing history and family research since 1960. I was co-author of the first book on the Watford Family, printed the Thompson Family information for the reunions, assisted with the Houston Heritage Book and last printed a book called "Window in Time, Dale County 1860". I am a member of the UDC and try to enter military service on those I add. Over the years I have accumulated many pictures and family stories -some which do not apply to me - I am trying to share these to help others with their research and FINDAGRAVE is a good medium for that. I strive to do this work correctly but errors occur (and old memories are not perfect). Please send any corrections, additions and suggestions.
Thanks, Sarah

Lewis Gaylard Memorial
Do you mind Transferring his memorial to me? My G-grandmother's(Lena Lee) brother. He was killed while helping cut a tree down. The tree fell on him and killed him. The family was devastated. Thank you so much in advance!!

LA Neely's
Elonzo Neely Grave questions
Sarah -
Regarding grave memorial 88709462: This is the grave of Elonzo Neely in Cowarts cemetary (Cowarts AL). You mention in your posting that this is the grave fora Crayton Alonzo Neely. What source of information do you have that equates CA Neely to Elonzo Neely?

One of JV Neely's children was Curtis Lamar Neely. Curtis Lamar was my husbands grandfather.

Any further information you have on this would be greatly appreciated.

Mary Elizabeth lassiter Brookins
Sara I have search for members of my grandfather's William Earl Lassiter. Have found no member, Mary was one of his sisters. I believe there was 3
and he was the only son and the youngest child. my mother was the only one of his children to have children. She and her twin sister were 17 months when he died. She knew nothing of her father's family, and I can not find only that his parents were Rebecca stewart and joseph lassiter and they are buried at rahan church cem. in Cottonwood, Al I visited her grave once. Doing a little research I did see that all of Mary's children are gone, and there is were I am stuck. I did go and get my grandfather's death cert. so I could find out whom his parents were. I know of no Stewarts. Where do I go from here.

thank you, Sara Moats

Dale County Book

Hi Sarah, It's been a while but I seem to remember us corresponding some years ago probably about my wife Bonnie jernigans family tree. Anyways this time I was wondering if in your book on Dale County Alabama if you uncovered anything at all about a Elizabeth Smith or anyone with the last name of Coon. My GG grandfather was supposed to have been born there in 1836, but I have no documentation to that effect. This came from a fam history book written some years ago by a now deceased cousin of mine from florida. Though I know much about him, his origins totally elude me so anything you may have could be a tremendous help!

Many thanks Mark Bregante
