|I have been doing history and family research since 1960. I was co-author of the first book on the Watford Family, printed the Thompson Family information for the reunions, assisted with the Houston Heritage Book and last printed a book called "Window in Time, Dale County 1860". I am a member of the UDC and try to enter military service on those I add. Over the years I have accumulated many pictures and family stories -some which do not apply to me - I am trying to share these to help others with their research and FINDAGRAVE is a good medium for that. I strive to do this work correctly but errors occur (and old memories are not perfect). Please send any corrections, additions and suggestions.|

Sara I have search for members of my grandfather's William Earl Lassiter. Have found no member, Mary was one of his sisters. I believe there was 3
and he was the only son and the youngest child. my mother was the only one of his children to have children. She and her twin sister were 17 months when he died. She knew nothing of her father's family, and I can not find only that his parents were Rebecca stewart and joseph lassiter and they are buried at rahan church cem. in Cottonwood, Al I visited her grave once. Doing a little research I did see that all of Mary's children are gone, and there is were I am stuck. I did go and get my grandfather's death cert. so I could find out whom his parents were. I know of no Stewarts. Where do I go from here.
thank you, Sara Moats

Hi Sarah, It's been a while but I seem to remember us corresponding some years ago probably about my wife Bonnie jernigans family tree. Anyways this time I was wondering if in your book on Dale County Alabama if you uncovered anything at all about a Elizabeth Smith or anyone with the last name of Coon. My GG grandfather was supposed to have been born there in 1836, but I have no documentation to that effect. This came from a fam history book written some years ago by a now deceased cousin of mine from florida. Though I know much about him, his origins totally elude me so anything you may have could be a tremendous help!
Many thanks Mark Bregante

Again, thanks so much for the pictures and thanks for the info on your relationship to the Forrester's.
|Josephine Cannon||Thanks For The Picture!|
Thanks so much for the 2 pictures that you supplied for my Uncle Herman's grave site. I hope that you didn't have much trouble in finding it.. I believed that it was in the same area as my Aunt Juanita Forrester McMullan and my Grandfather Connie Forrester's graves. I have not been to that cemetery in 16 years.
I assume that you are the relative to Sam Forrester that he was telling me about that still lives in Cowarts... is this correct? If so, how are you related to him? Perhaps you and I are also distantly related.
Again, thanks so much for these pictures.

|Jennifer Hamilton||Your Dale County Book|
Hello, Your book about Dale County sounds very interesting to me as I'm finding that my family seems to have very deep roots there. How do I go about getting a copy? Thanks. Jen
|Sharon Shown||Ernest G Forrester|
Okay, so I have now confirmed that Ernest was married to my Aunt Dewey. Problem now is being able to find where she is buried. I am now attempting to make sure through what I can find on Family Search about more of this. I have found a record with Ernest and Dewey listed on the same death index and Ernest's Daddy is the same as this memorial. Thanks for all of your hard work.
