Alvin K "Sparky" Smith
I just found this memorial thru Ancestry.com. Alvin Smith was my paternal grandfather. He had been married to Era Hawbecker and had a son named Alvin Kenneth Smith who was my father. I have one photo of my grandfather that was given to me by my mother, Lorraine Phyllis Day (Smith) of Sparky sitting on a porch at some house. I recognized him instantly. I'm glad to have seen more photos of him. I did not get to meet my father, my parents divorced when I was a baby, nor did I know any of his side of the family. Thank you for providing the photos.

I have copied the information, but I can't move the memorial card, and Laura's email is not going through. Thanks!

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

I apologize for saying that you entered the obituary on that memorial, I was told by John HE added the obituary. It is against findagrave's rules to add a memorial for someone who is NOT dead yet, and she wasn't dead when you added her name.

She hasn't been buried yet, however, she just passed away and HE added the obit and not you. His logic was he wanted to add it before someone else did, but he has the memorial, and he could have waited to add the obit until atleast the funeral.

She was someone I cared for very much and it is hard to say goodbye to her now, let alone see someone had her "listed" before her "time".
