Bio and Links
Bio Photo Since there are around 60 requests for photos in Sylvania Hills (and I'm told there are around 45,000 graves there), if I don't know the location of the grave in the request... at least a section... it is nearly impossible to find the grave.

I wrote a letter to Sylvania Hills asking if they would either locate these graves for me or allow me access to their records to locate them, and they were unwilling to help in any way.

If you have photo requests for Sylvania Hills, please contact the cemetery yourself (724-775-6300) and get at least the section. (Their grave numbers don't do me any good anyway, since all I have is a section map.) I'm glad to spend an hour or so, locating a grave within a section.

Thanks!

RE: Tobias Burgman
Hi Lou,
Thank you so much ! I found more of Tobias' family (and parents) in the last 2 days, so I am very excited to put the puzzle pieces together :-)

Take care and may God bless you and your family as well...

Yes, I will look into it! I have been transcribing obits and death certificate, so I can understand how that stone was a beautiful jigsaw. It's not the first though, so thanks for making the memorial.

RE: Obits in B. Co. Times
Did not want you to post the obituary. Just wanted you to have the information to see if the obituary was for the same person as the memorial #145013536 and if any of the information in the obituary was of use to you.

Robert W. Harper in Sylvania Hills
Could you include a transcript of his obituary on his memorial please? It's as follows:

"Robert Wilson Harper, 58, of Harper Road, Wireton, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1966, in Sewickley Valley Hospital, following a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of the area and had been an iron worker. He was a member of Riverdale Presbyterian Church, Glenwillard, and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Harper was a member of American Legion Post 952, Hookstown, and Five Points Hunting Club, Hopewell Township. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Kukelinsky Harper; his father, Arnold R. Harper; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Springer, Wireton, and Mrs. Helen Tilly, Glenwillard; also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received today after 7 pm in the R. D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis, where funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Kerry Meier officiating. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

Beaver County Times, 11 Feb 1966"

Thank you!
