May I have your permission to download the photo of the gravestone of Mrs. Anna (Tuthill) Symmes (Memorial# 12937970)?
I would like to upload it into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.
Manoa is not mine and Mr. Crane(?) told me Sarah was his Sister and he gave me the parents...I can unconnect Sarah if that is what you want me to do but I can't fix Manoa Mattison as that belongs to some one else.. If it the same cemetery where my ancestors are buried in Almond/West Almond they plowed over it and there is housing on top of it now and the society is very cranky about the whole matter...I tried to find the exact spot for years but got no help and no directions or pointers...

Sorry about the wrong link. I was rushing as my plane from Rochester to Newark was boarding and got the last digit of the memorial number wrong. I just fixed it as I wait at the Denver airport for my ride up to Fort Collins.
Regarding John - No marker for him. I assumed he died earlier and probably somewhere else.

Per your request to go and get Matteson photos for you, I have fully photographed all of Hermon cemetery though its not all online yet. I have done full inventories of 170 cemeteries in St. Lawrence county (over 200,000 photos), and while I have all the memorials online the photos have to be added one at a time, so that even after 6 years of working on it every day I only have about 120K uploaded. I will add the photos I have within the next day or two. I am about to fly out to Denver to help my mother with her recovery from a fractured pelvis.
Thank you for the obit of Albert Hyde Gates. I added it to the site. I lived next door to their house in White Creek at my grandparents house. Didn't know him but knew his wife and some children.

Thanks so much for providing the obit for Lester. That was so sad, but it's good to have the info.

Thank you for listing the burial site of Harry Lawrence Carley. His wife is buried next to him. Do you know is a headstone was erected on this grave site>
Don & Kay Wilt
Harry was Kay's Uncle.

You have suggested her parents are Thomas and Margaret Matteson. I am going to need some source or information. You are suggesting her maiden name and married name was Matteson. While not unheard of it is unusual.

FYI - She died in 1923 so her obit is "too recent" per the find-a-grave rules to post. I'll add the key info. Oh, and yes, she died in Gouverneur. The article says she died at her home on West Main street, and in the Northern Tribune, that always means Gouverneur. An amazing number of people lived on West Main back then (now its more of a business/residential mix).
|Anne Cady||RE: Age Corrections|
I checked each and when I found an obit (which I did for most who died after 1880) and it had birth date I put it in. You are right that no obits more recent than 1922 are allowed. I can usually find them online though and am happy to extract the key data.
