Fortier and Dudevoir graves

Just wanted to thankyou for all your help with finding my family's monuments in Sacred heart cemeteries. It must run in the family as we stayed with Al in New Bedford at the Orchard St. B & B! He found my great uncle's shop there and took us to see it. WOW!instant ancestry :) He also says there are Dudevoirs in his family line so it looks like we are cousins!
We also had the monument repaired for the Fortiers. The family are thrilled with the pictures and information I have found so far.We thoroughly enjoyed New Bedford and hope to return for a longer stay.
I could not find any marker for Exina Dudevoir or a register of burial even though it states it clearly on her death certificate. Bit of a mystery....
thanks again for your help! Doria

Hello Albert.

I am researching the Bradley family, and would like to ask your permission to post this photo in a public online tree at

We always use a caption, like "Photo courtesy of...".

Would that be OK with you?

Thank you,
Mary Van Dyke

RE: Charles Smoll in Altoona, PA
OK, I'll be watching for them.

I do wish there was automatic notification when a photo is added by someone else to any of my memorials. --If-- you have a moment and you've added a photo with Hebrew to a memorial I created, just suggest a correction with the word "Hebrew" and I'll know to go look at it.

What has worked for me in the past is a "temporary transfer". You may transfer any memorial to me, I'll add the transcription and whatever needs to be done to fix up the names and dates, possibly connecting to nearby relatives, and when the dust has settled, I can transfer them back to you. I get mail when you send them to me, you get mail when I send them back.

RE: Burkes in Cresson
A listing of the burials in Union Cemetery, Cresson, on the Cambria County cemeteries website at

says it is a complete listing of all burials in Union Cemetery, Cresson, and it does not include the Burks.

the same website has a listing for Union Cemetery, Gallitzin, also does not include the Burks, but it is noted that the Gallitzin listing is not complete.

RE: Burkes in Cresson
Is there a way for you to contact the previous contributor and ask her to remove her memorial and offer her proof of the correct cemetery?
Since I have not seen the cemetery in question and you and she both have the same tombstone posted but have it located in two different cemeteries, I have no argument to offer the other poster that would be convincing.
Rather than have me pass messages, could you contact her?

RE: Aristide Giroux
Thank you so much for your response and for posting the information to FInd A Grave. I do live in Fairhaven and would absolutely love to photograph the stone(s). I just recently discovered this part of my family heritage and would appreciate any other information on this part of my tree.
Thanks again,
Kevin Mach

Aristide Giroux
Good morning,

I am looking for information on Aristide Giroux and his wife Marie Tremblay. I am thinking that there is not a stone for them hence the photo of the death certificate? Any help would be appreciated.

wrong name
I don't know how this can happen, but when I searched for Elizabeth Steadman Winn on Ancestry, another name comes up.
Don't know how to fix.
