I am a Stay-at-Home-mom with two little ones. I have always taken an interest in family tree histories. My father was an avid fan of Find a Grave and he introduced me to this site before he passed away in 2008. Find A Grave Memorial# 46644773. I am happy to be a photo volunteer for much of the Los Angeles area!|
I've always liked to take photos and go to cemeteries, so this is a perfect past time for me! I LOVE to find relatives and homes for the memorials I make, so IF you see a memorial you'd like TRANSFERRED, I'm more then happy to do so, just put in the request. (Will transfer ANY except those in my Family Virtual Cemetery). ***Also, to expedite edits please use the EDIT tab that Find a Grave has recently provided in the upper right hand corner of all memorials. "Suggested corrections" should be used for transfer requests or other edits that are not options under the EDIT tab.***
You can feel free to use creative commons with the photos I take if you'd like to use them in your genealogy or family history projects.
Please note, when listing random memorials, I often try to link families together to the best of my ability, using my judgment and common sense. So, I imagine some of the relationship links I have created may not be accurate and I'm always happy to update or change if you can help.
Please do not send me requests to change the entry of MAIDEN name for Males whose name origin indicates that they are LATINO. This name is often their mother's maiden name and used for lineage purposes. Maybe a suggestion would be for Find A Grave to add an entry space for this.
My family lines are Schmidt/Wassem and Johnsen/Hale. My husband's family lines are Alves/Carvalho and Bacellar/Huet.

Thanks for the transfer. Apologies for the multiple emails. Newbie on this site but appreciated the advice too.

|Richard S. Clark||Onge photos - Thank you!|
I appreciate the Onge family headstone photos that you posted to Find A Grave. They were my mother's cousins. I think it will help others by documenting the slight alteration in their surname through the documentation of their headstones, having gone from Ong to Onge after the death of their father/husband, George Finley Ong. I often wonder why; perhaps they thought they were "correcting" their surname, or perhaps they thought "Ong" sounded too oriental. I've come across similar "corrections" before, like some Morehouse cousins who thought they were of German heritage, so changed their surname to Moorhaus; as it turned out, their ancestor was Irish. As for me, I've been asked my whole life if my surname was Clark or Clarke; I've never even met a Clarke! Thanks again!
