I am a future resident of The Great Mausoleum of Forest Lawn, in Glendale, California. My niche (20817) faces W.C. Fields in the Columbarium of Nativity. I leave flowers for my Mother and W.C. every other week. I enjoy the history and art of cemeteries, and photograhing them. This my first statue, "The Butterfly Baby", by Bruno Pattorino. It sits in the Columbarium of Security on Gardenia Terrace of the Great Mausoleum. [Click on this photo to enlarge]. I also have an original statue of "Cupid's Choice" by Donatello Gabbrielli in the Hall of Inspiration (Holly Terrace) that is adjacent to the Columbarium of Nativity where my Mom is inurned and where I will be with her one day. I also have a bronze statue of "The Rising Sun" by Adolph Weinman in the Columbarium of Sanctuaries next to The Last Supper stained glass window on Memorial Terrace, Court of Honor. I recently purchased by fourth statue (marble) of "Little Friends" by Pietro Bazanti, (on Holly Terrace), and dedicated it to my late neighbor and friend, LaVonne Rose Potter. It stands in the Sanctuary of Redemption atop the grand staircase leading from The Last Supper stained glass window up to my niche in the Columbarium of Nativity (Holly Terrace). |Bernard Johnson||Marvin Gay Sr.|
I do not know how those repeated messages occurred, please remove them. Other than this, I just spoke with a reliable source at Holy Cross and they have no record of Marvin Gay Sr. being buried there. Can you tell me what proof or source this came about? I'd be interested in finding him.
|Edgar Allen Pie||Find A Grave Photo Request / Marvin GAY|
Hi, I'm happy to fulfill your Find A Grave request to photograph the headstone of Marvin GAY at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA. Because there are more than 100 open requests for this cemetery, please call the cemetery's office at 310-836-5500 and get the specific plot number of the grave--I can't go to their office and ask for the locations of 100+ graves! :-)
Once you've got the location, message it to me and I'll go take the picture as soon as I can.
I will be heading to the cemetery this Sunday so if I get your location information by then, I will be happy to post your photos then.

I entered the memorial for Frances Higgins
#91624553 in Forest Lawn and did not make a
restriction on photos. Don't know where the
restriction came from.
I will request a photo.
|Virginia||Photo request Arlington Memorial Gardens|
If you would call the Arlington Memorial Gardens office #513-521-7003 and get the section and plot number, I will be glad to get the picture for you. You can ask for Pete Tunnat and he is willing to look it up.
It is such a large cemetery that without that it is almost impossible to find.
